Just started playing POE a few days ago and was starting to like the sniping physics being more newb friendly than bf2. Even more so when i get my hands on the lovely .50 cal sniper rifles, much better than the pansy M95 we all grew up with. One shot kills, capping pilots through armoured glass. However, what puzzles me is that i have not been able to destroy jeeps with it, like we all might expect from a RL .50 sniper rifle.

Well the question i wanted to ask is this.
-Is it possible for the .50cal sniper to cause serious damage to cars?
-If so, where is the weak spot to hit for the most damage?

i think the ukrain rifle is stronger with only 3 shots to blow up a vehicle.
and the german one is weaker.they should both kill jeeps anywhere.

They have the same damage actually.  The .50 cal rifles kill jeeps in about 10 shots I think, anyways the G82 does.

2 squares of damage to a jeep seems very medioche to me. I've seen tires explode when fired upon by a rifle. A tireshot causing critical damage or total destruction would be cool tho. Over realistic and imbalanced perhaps, but still... shooting tires out of a speeding jeep at range would not be a easy feat.

In real life the Ntw-20 is an anti-tank rifle, its ammo is so large (20mm, as apposed to the 12.7mm of the M95) that use agaist infintry targets is considered wasteful. I think it should be an AT weapon in PoE as well, but its still badass none the less.

About that, since the NTW-20 fires 20x83.5mm (or 20x110mm in latest version), is it a one-shot-kill weapon ingame ? Funny to see that it weights around 25 kg (maybe lighter for the latest) and snipers in PoE can carry it deployed ^^ (I know, it would be too difficult to make it a deployable weapon, though it's possible). Any Russian "light" anti-material rifle (12.7x108) would have fit well instead I think.

Yep, no need for a headshot. They are down for the count. Also as for the deployed thing you are asking about, you can only fire it when proned. The trigger doesn't work crouching or standing.

From what I've read, the BF2 engine doesnt support break-downs/disabling of specific parts of a vehicle, just the complete destruction of it. But it would be kool!

winshield, rear.

And shoot the cockpit of choppers, it will own them.
