I went into the gamelogit or file it is and did the remove name tags line. I wanted a battle recorder video of a game without name tags. I took the line out but now everytime I try and connect to a ranked server i get a message saying 'you have a modified version of bf2, This server only allows bf2 version with unmodified content' or something along those lines. The file is exackly what it was before I altered it. Does this mean I need to reinstall bf2 patch and all to play ranked servers again?

I did make a back up. It is exackly the same.
Put back the backup, and don't fuck around with the files.

I found out what I did. I left spaces in the file I modified. After taking these spaces out and can now play ranked servers.
