i would probably not really lose friends so much as not be able to hang out in big groups if she were there. That's assuming it didn't work out. We've had this same group of friends since we were like 15. Anyway, we talked about it like adults and we are both completely on the same page.

What is "the same page"? Valuing avoiding awkwardness more than a possible lasting relationship? Or going for it?KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

How badly would a relationship have to implode that you would lose your group of friends? You don't have to completely cut a person out of your life if you knew them, dated them, and it didn't work out. If you two find you work well together, it's even more unlikely that would happen.
same page meaning making sure we don't ruin OUR existing friendship in the rush to start dating. Most relationships I've been in I haven't really known the person too well when we started dating. I've been friends with this chick for over 10 years. I've never really had a good friend that I ended up dating.
We gonna keep it on the down low for now though. Keep it quiet bf2s!
@desert: it's not so much losing a big group as much as fracturing a few groups inside that group.

Two people I knew from a group of friends in college dated for awhile, and it didn't work out. Now they dislike each other and one of them doesn't really talk to me any longer since I didn't take sides. Hope it works out for you, ken. And if not, well, let's hope it doesn't turn silly.
she's a fit model so her job is tied to her weight. not gonna happen anytime soon.
what would you regret more, doing nothing and wish you had 5 years from now? or going for it and losing friends after you break up?
i don't know, that was the whole reason i turned to you nerds for perspective.
We are relationship experts, after all.
At least you know you will always have someone you can leave or cheat on your partner with guaranteed.
what?
If you remain friends with her and not peruse this, you can put her on the back-burner. And if you ever get a partner you don't care about or if you need a way out, you can fall back on her because you know she's there.
if you*re falling back on women you*re doing it wrong. even blademaster knew that . . .SuperJail Warden wrote:

already done. I don't know how else to respond to macbeth's nonsense other than "yes"
It was excellent advice. I am sorry you aren't mature enough to see that.
how's your love life doin', casanova?
It is being managed by someone responsible enough not to need a discussion group to determine whether he should get a girlfriend.
is this same person the one who consistently fetishizes other ethnicities, has openly compared his cousin to a porn star, and has previously mentioned his desire to statutorily rape high schoolers?
I don't recall that part about high schoolers.
