California just got rid of tenure for teachers. Americans cry about being behind in math and science and then turn around and want to dismantle teachers' unions because they cost too much money. Wanting to get bad teachers out of the classroom is just a bullshit excuse. People want a good education system but don't want to pay for it. Nobody wants to pay any taxes in this country. This is no sense of civic duty.

The kids are dumb but we shouldn't be so quick to ruin their lives by kicking them out of school. It won't change their minds and doesn't help anyone else.

They got expelled. It is very annoying that conservative media is falling over themselves to bring up how kicking them out of school violates the first amendment.
