what you got now?

Nothing so far. I got the body when I was still living at home so I borrowed lenses from my parents (kit 18-55 and 55-250 + 50 1.8). I've been using my point-and-shoot S100 since then and haven't had any money to invest in lenses for my 60D until now.

Main use would probably be birds, wild/domestic animals, and landscapes. Preferably with IS and <$800

More along the lines that I truly don't need it, in fact I'll return it because I have a decent PC, xbox 360, and playstation 3.

Look at it this way. There aren't any good PS4 exclusives at the moment. 3rd party game developers are gonna still make games for the xbox 360, playstation 3, and PC as well as the xbone and PS4 for a few years because they'll earn more money that way. It'd be better to wait a few years for the PS 4 pricing to drop, plus by then they will have better ps4 exclusives that would make better use of the features that PS 4 currently has. The ps4 features are currently pointless when few games make any use of them at the moment.

My hesitancy is feeling bad that I will return the thing because it was very thoughtful of my family to buy me such an expensive thing. I was hoping they wouldn't go too far to get such things.
