Hammer > nail > straw to get the juice out, then hammer again to crush it for the pulp.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

Wellp, got banned from the other forum I tried to start frequenting. Talking in the "News" section about the London murder when a moderator saying we couldn't discuss religion because "it's caused problems in the past" and people were discussing Islamic extremism in the UK. I responded saying it was a bit draconian (I think it was this word that was responsible) since it was directly relevant to the topic at hand and bam--- "Complaining about moderator action" I like how our mods are users first and foremost and not some power-tripping spastics (mostly).
why would you even sign up to a new internet forum in 2013? it's such an antiquated form. and it's not as if they're paragons of maturity and quality like they were back in the 'golden era' of the internet, as the sort of ultra-nerdy alternative to IM chatting/chat-rooms. i don't think i visit a single forum thesedays that i didn't sign up for at pre-18 sort of age.
Started in 2012, at a point when this forum was possibly even less active then it is now. It was a forum for mainly for discussion of something I liked. Since the rise of Reddit though, forums do seem to be too much work for the ADD sort of people on the internet. I don't like bothering people I know with phone calls or texting trivial matters or thoughts, so I look for some form of community online to share that. Thanks, EE Chats <3
I hate forums, this one isn't too bad
Banned for complaining about mod action? Shoot...this place would be empty...hell, I might not even make the cut. Hehe
...
It was weird, because apparently you can't talk about any action they take. People would get permabanned and you'd have no idea about what happened to them, but you couldn't ask because it's apparently Soviet Russia and they're persona non grata. Pretty much all forums have rules that say "don't flame, use excessive swearing, or insult other members" but most mods know to enforce that rather lightly. I got called out previously for swearing. They've got a shitload of mods for how many active users they have, so I imagine at some point the userbase will consist solely of autistic suckups and people wielding their "power".
What forum?
I fail to see what this has to do with drinking coconut milk, guys. Let's get back on track.
(on pain of spastic power tripping)

Hodor.
i moderated the xfire forums for a while, back in the hey-day, when xfire was bigger than and predated steam friends/steam community. i was about 14. 15 at a stretch. i wielded that authority like a true lord. i had so many autistic gamer suck-ups - from the early tweens to fully-grown suckish adults, the sort that play second life for 12 hours a day as a feline wolf-man avatar. i was a god in that community. i was even in special 'xfire staff' groups/chat conferences, despite the fact they were all proper professional businessmen sat in menlo park. i was one of only two forum moderators that weren't moved out to san fran to live and work on site. the other was some super nerdy amateur coder finnish guy. i told a few white-lies and they were all convinced i was 18+.DesertFox- wrote:

it won't be going on my CV.
My phone autocorrects cunt to Finray hahaha
The EA-UK forums when BF3 just came out in 2011 were very good. But now they integrated it with battlelog which is shit.

Official forums are never good.
I kinda want to buy Guns of Icarus since it's on sale, but the only gameplay I've seen has been from groups of gamers playing. I'll bet the fun is dramatically reduced trying to get some randomers to do what needs to be done. I reckon it'd be fun like the big naval battles in BF1942 where you had a shitload of people repairing and defending the battleships.
The "Space Marine" one was a laugh because the devs took down posts critical of bugs and issues and then folded in on itself.Macbeth wrote:

I miss Midway...DesertFox- wrote:

Another weekend another UFC event. Main event is a rematch for the title between Bigfoot Silva and Cain Velasquez. Expectations aren't too high for the event since the first fight was so lopsided.
That's grotesque. That fight and the beer.
Double or nothing.
Take it to the no one cares thread.
"Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough."

take it to the sports sub-forum, seriously, nobody wants to see your gore-porn and blood when browsing a chat thread.
