As said above ^ i'm looking to upgrade, atm i have a Gforce FX 5900 ultra , 1 GB of corsair ram and an AMD athlon 1.28 GHz and i can run battlefield 2 smoothly on low settings, for 2142 i want to run medium settings with no lag..and i have about 500 quid to spend..

Any suggestions ?

If you want to spend the full 500 quid:

(I'll assume that you have AGP)

Gainward 7800GS+
AMD 4000+ (at the bottom of the page)
And any of the better PSU's on this page To keep it all running smoothly and properly.

- and better graphic card, lets say a 6800gt if your AGP ($200) if your PCI a 7600gt ($160)

- and a better processor at least 3200ghz+, ($60)
