Hrmm when I close down 2142 my computer is really slow as if there's a big process running in the background.. I've checked in processes in Task Manager and can't find anything suspicious. It's getting a bit annoying now as I have to restart my computer every time I shut down the game and try to start it up again :S

when i shut it down i click the firefox buttom 10 times, when all 10 pages have opened, my computer is running at its normal speed again
Does it now make a sound when it has closed BF2142? When i return back to desktop i have a chime sound when it has closed 2142 or BF2.
The only problem i have had is when i ran the 2142 beta 2 took about 15 minutes to open the file.

That used to happen with normal bf2. then i could just alt tab out normally as if its using no resources.
now with 2142 it takes a wile for it to get back to normal aswell.
