EA announced that if you preorder from Game.co.uk, you get an instant rank up when you play the game. But pre-ordering from gameplay.com grants you a SCAR-11 skin and sound. I already signed up for that BF2 veretan so i will already have a rank up, so what should i do:

I would get the rank up. Just means you will get your last unlock sooner compare to having one gun with a differnt skin and sound effect. The rank up is forever but, after a week or so you probably won't even think about the gun. hehe

Your right, plus i like the PAC weapons more in a way. Plus i think im gonna be a Lambert Carbine expert, not a SCAR 11 expert.

No, EA said as soon as you gain a rank via points, your free rank up codes become unusable. So that means you must use it at the start.

Weird, thats pretty stupid because the pre-ordering rank site hasn't been set up yet. So I find it odd that they advertise all that stuff, then when I go to put the damn rank key in, I can't find the stupid link to the site. That is so like EA, watch the night before the game releases they're gonna make the link then.

Personally? The skin! Although anything big and shiny that blows the crap out of things is good in my book so I'm bias. From what I've heard, you rank up quickly early on, but damn that skin looks sweet.

dude the rank up only takes 40 points or so i think. yes.... it takes longer to get points in 2142, but still.

however, custom skins/sounds generally aren't allowed in competitive play.
