For whoever said they cannot find any servers, if you have Ranked Servers checked in yout filter settings you will not get any servers. Uncheck this and click on Apply Filters to see them.
I see two servers that claim to be ranked - one in the US and one in Germany. However, after playing the US one (with 300 ping and still getting silver star), it ain't ranked.ShotYourSix wrote:

I just started form BeNeLuxgaming.nl and ca. 50mins remaining, downloading with 353kb/s when normally around 74...

Errrm is it just me or are your guys server lists coming up with 2 servers both ranked (I achieved a Ribbon, wtf?)
one is German with a ping of 34-70 (for me) and another which has pings in the high 300th's i am so very confused.....
Also [619]Nekro all i did was un rar the Client (with provided PW) and double click the install .EXE i did not have to unrar the map pack, i believe it is extracted during installation,

On the other hand glancing at previous replies it occurs that i am a simpleton and did not uncheck the Ranked only box, nevertheless why are there 2 ranked Mod servers, i was under the impression this was against ROE...

Did you uncheck the Ranked Servers box in your filters settings? If you are only getting 2 you must have it checked. There were about 160 servers last time I checked.....
Edit: 367 servers now.
As for the file, I believe they are now distributing an unpassworded file so no password is needed to install.

My only concern is that 2 servers appear to be ranked, i supposedly achived the Infantry Officer Ribbon, if this appears in my stats i can only conclude that the servers are indeed racking up peoples GP. Which as i stated before is against ROE, is it not?
They may show up as ranked but others have reported that they got a star on them and it never did show up in there awards. Those servers may somehow show up as ranked but they are not.
POE have said that they are building a POE ranking system but it is not ready yet. In fact the game is not even finished yet, they just released it at this build because it was playable and they wanted people to have at it. Expect more from them, this is just the beginning.

i was just installing and it got near the end and it said something about some map missing and then it closed! wtf
yeah there are several 'ofset' cases in this mod: ukraine has 2 types of main battle tanks (one has a tv guided missile) while germany has one, which doesnt have the tv missile. germany has an AA vehicle with guns and missiles, while ukraines only has the missiles. i think its kinda cool how everything isnt perfectly mirrored on each side.[619]Nekro wrote:

Just got done playing all night and into the morn and the mod is awesome. At one point I shot shotyoursix way across the map when he was just a dot with one shot from my scoped in spec ops rifle. I never would have pulled that off in BF2.
It has some nice maps that are practically infantry only with a few transports here and there and it works great that way.
There are some issues (should i be able to snipe with a shotty?) that need some polishing but overall i would say this mod is better than vanilla BF2 and can only get better.
Orel will be the next Karkand until they put in a city map.
