Well I had that whole 'Best Punk Band' thing going, and I guess i don't know what punk is, so, whatever.

I'll do this one, if it already hasn't been done.

Which ever one you choose, give a reason why you chose it. This will help me decide when I get my new computer.

I've always used Intel.. I was gonna switch to AMD.. except now Intel's finally back on top with its new Core Duo chip.

Core Duo's.. duh 2 more weeks till I get my 6800
And the bad thing is AMD's next comeback will be their 4 x 4's (2 dual core chips in one). Since the amount of apps and games that even support dual core alone are far and few between I can't understand why they would be heading this way.

LOL me too, but are you sure about that? I've seen most Intel chips running cheaper, I just figured AMD because AMD seemed more reliable and efficient.

Vs old Intel yes , Vs new Intel no. Especially when it comes to efficiency.
How there can be so many AMD votes blows my mind. The benchmarks are very clear.

No intel is competative with price. I've use both. Tend to go with AMD because it turns out that way. Its a fact that intels are bencing better.

Got me a Intel P4 3.0 GHz Northwood, still runs all the games out. When it doesn't then I'll upgrade.

But i think the P4 Duo should be nice, they should run cooler and use less power then Prescotts, so no need for a psu that will suck the national grid dry

I've currently got a 3.0Ghz P4 in my crap box (it's dell, ok?).

Next computer will have a Core 2 Duo. That'll be good not only for gaming, but for using Photoshop CS2.
