I put all the major grunge bands.  If your prefered one is not in this list then pls say which one is.  I don't include Temple of the Dog coz it wasn't a band, it was a tribute to late singer of Mother Love Bone.  But I think that album is one of the best.  Personally, I choose Alice in Chains.

Best Albums and songs for each band:
Alice In Chains: Dirt (album), Man in the Box, Dam That River, Down in a Hole, Them Bones, We Die Young, Sea of Sorrow, Rooster, No Excuses (what a waste the death of Staley)
Soundgarden: Superunknown (album), Blow up the Outside World, Rusty Cage, Outshined, Superunknown, Fell on Black Days, Ty Cobb, Burden in my Hand (very upset with the band separation)
Pearl Jam: Ten (album), Why Go, Alive, Animal, Go, Evenflow, Jeremy, Given to Fly, Do The Evolution (very upset with the last albums)
Nirvana: Nevermind (album), Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, Come as you Are, All Apologies, Rape me, About a Girl, Pennyroyal Tea, The Man Who Sold The World (originally by Bowie) (what a waste the death of Cobain)
Foo Fighters: Foo Fighters (album), This is a Call, Big Me, Best of You, DOA, Everlong, Monkey Wrench
Mudhoney: since I'm not big fan of the band I reserve my opinion on this one
Mother Love Bone: Apple (only album), This is Shangrila, Crown of Thorns
Stone Temple Pilots: Core (album), Dead and Bloated, Wicked Garden, Sex Type Thing, Sin, Plush (very upset with the last albums)
Temple of The Dog: this is one album project, but I strongly recommend to buy it if you like the genre.

I respect your musical taste, but I consider great every damn band in the list.

For me, Pearl Jam easily.  I saw them in concert twice and they may be the best thing I've ever witnessed with my own two eyes.
Their last album is really good too, sergeriver if you haven't heard that one.

Well.....I HATE NIRVANA.  Dont get me wrong, they are good....but the rock/alternative station here plays them about twice an hour.  Im sure you can imagine how old it gets.  Soundgarden is ok, Chris Cornell should have revived that band rather than going to Rage Against the Machine - a singer.  I dont care for AudioSlave either. I voted for Foo Fighters.

Absolutely agree about Audioslave.  Cornell left one of most incredible bands to get into RATM, and they named it Audioslave.

Pearl Jam & STP were grunge to me, it seems its era has died.

Perhaps if Chris Cornell were still in Soundgarden, if Cobain and Staley were alive and Pearl Jam would record good albums as they used to record in early 90's, then grunge would be better today.

Nirvana but its not my fav type of music.  However, I like Puddle of Mud, that group with Fred Durst, and 1 or 2 things by that brother and sister who sang Hotel Yorbra.  Sorry for being shit and kryptic.  I can't think straight ATM.

Nothing new there then!
