I wasn't aware of this until today during my nightly news round up. Apparently last week, AOL released 3 months worth of searches fore about 650,000 of their users. The results were anonymous-ized (I can't spell sorry) and can't be linked to particular people... but uh, that doesn't make me feel any better. Just look at the links and you'll see what I mean. First two are links to news articles about it. Last one is an example of why this is an extremelly terrible idea. Btw, I'm sorry if this is a repost, I searched and found nothing of the sort but my searching can suck sometimes.

Update: Found another interesting link. Some reporters set out to match a user log to a person and looks like they were able to do so. So much for privacy.
