Anyone know what the specs for this game is? I know I can run it, but just curious to what the minimum requirements are???

The 'minimum' specs may well stay the same, but like SF requires more power than vanilla, I'm sure the 'recommended' specs for 2142 will be up on BF2 - The landscapes are a little more busy and with all the individual customization of kits it's probably going to require 2Gb and fast components to a greater degree than either vanilla or SF...

Have you ever looked at how much ram bf2 requires even with everything on low?
atm i got 560 mb ram and nvidia 5200 gt bfgt im looking to upgrade to a xfx 6800gt so i can run bf2142. how does that sound

2142 runs the same engine etc... as BF2. The only change is the skins, that is all... in fact I am almost sure that it will require less.

They 'did something about draw calls' a patche or two ago - it didn't, and never will, reduce the amount of RAM required. It did reduce the 'lag' many people with 1Gb RAM experienced.Sarrk wrote:

Have you seen any interviews, let alone the developer(s) interview. Of coarse you haven't because you would not have typed what you just typed. My advice to you would be do just even the minimal research on something before typing like you know something about it, please. It is self admitted by the developer(s), the reason they can get it out to the public so quickly is it uses the same ENGINE and game base as BF2. They HAVE done some things with the GRAPHICS ( SKINS ) but essentially it is the same game with more play ability... It is little tweaks here and there but it is the same platform! So my pent 4 3.4 ghz and 2 gigs of ram should be okay will have to get a new card because my ge-force 7300 gs is shit lolz.
Uh they dont support my 6600GT evidently but support crappier cards. Aint that a bitch.
For me it runs smoother. And I was playing on Euro servers from the states.

The Nvidia 7900 is not in the list, but I bet ya it can run the game
