Ok, so that is only for cmdr or squad leader, U did log in into a server running VOIP right?

Only when you are commander or squad leader.
no @ RDMC. and you should check if you donthave ur mic settings on mute thats what happened to me, just go to volume and then mic and check if its muted if not go to bf2 setting and check output.

And go to the right server not all servers have turned the headset function on, I believe.
