It can help a bit, but i normmal look for the muzzle flash when im sniping most the time its from a city or crane so i kinda ignore that the camo is even there. it does help when you're in a bush or thick grass
It's not a magical stealth suit. However, I've still had plenty people pass me over when I've been under the proper cover, and on the flipside, it's taken me a full minute to find some enemy snipers even when they're lit by UAV.
I find that the China maps match both teams' camo better.

Mostly depends on how you utilize it.
If youre on top of a building, its not very convincing.
If you can find a good bush, and kind of picture how you look to others (i.e. not sticking out too far/using a blind spot) then you can pretty much rape and pin an entire team.
I havent sniped in a while though.

most of the time, it has no effect, due to the big red KILL ME sign over your head. but once, once it actually helped. the other day i was being pursued by the havok in my fast jeep. jeep starts to flame, i jump out and start to run, knowing ill be ripped apart by 30mm rounds in a flash. however, i decide to jump down into some brush and go perfectly still. the heli hovers over me for a moment, then flys away. now, these were some idiots in the chopper, granted, but any other kit and i was dead.
I have to play on lower settings...and man does that ghillie suit stick out.
Against other snipers, hell no.
But I've lost count of the people I've had run right past my bush on sharqi without me knowing they were there beforehand.

Daqing is perfect for sniping because the color of the grass and bushes actually matches the ghillie suits for both sides.

And stab that bush with legs
Honestly, its a physiological thing, when I see the bush with legs, my mind says, HEY, ITS A FREE KILL!
Different story on SF, as there is no stupid camo going on there, so normally I don't try chasing random people round corners
Whenever I see a sniper on the ground, I turn into some sort of an Ultra Knifer that would shame all stat padders, and will chase after said sniper all the while saying "Hee hee, Here lil sniper, here boy! Hee hee!"
