While watching the Military channel, I was watching a piece called "Inside the Kill Box: Fighting the Gulf War". As all of you may or may not know, VP Cheney was secretary of state...or something like that during the Gulf War. But during this show, as its talking about Saddam Hussein invading Kuwait, there is a part that is a clip of him being interviewed (most likely for this channel specifically) and he says something along the lines of.....
"If he had conquered Kuwait, theres no doubt that by today, he would have weapons of mass destruction, because he would have had all the wealth to buy the equipment he needed."
By him saying this, it almost sounds as if Mr. Cheney is saying that Hussein doesnt...well....did, since they arent Husseins anymore, have those weapons. Now dont go thinking this is all against America and Im against he war effort in Iraq, because Im not. I think its great what we have actually done for that country in the sense of freeing a nation from a dictator, regardless of the reasons we went there. I just found this humorous, thought some of you might also. I know this will probably turn into an thread talking about the war over there and how "Our guys are dying for nothing, bring them home" blah blah blah, but then again, what thread about an issue like this wouldnt?
I wish I could show some proof of it, but considering I saw it on TV just 10 minutes ago, nothing I can do to post a video clip of it. Unless its somewhere on youtube, or a similar place, but my work proxy blocks those sites.
Anyway, what do you all think of this?
