space sim was great you had to change to speed all the time because it was real time so if you wanted to go to mars it would actually take like 5 years to get there unless you changed the settings

hmm there's been some favorites.. Street Rod, Moonstone, Duke3D, Dungeon Keeper 2.. but played BF2 the most for sure... next will be a MMO GTA type game I reckon

RTCW was the first multiplayer game to ever take me hostage....I never thought a game could take over my world like that. Enemy Territory continued the trend, and BF2 is in 3rd place. All great games, but I'm looking for a new fix. ETQW is my best hope but who knows, 2142 is a runner up. I expect one of those 2 to keep me fixated into the near future....It's anybody's guess which will take the crown.
EDIT: As far as older games go, the original Wing Commander was the first PC game that made me realize that I would be forever a gamer until the day I die. Also, to whoever mentioned Thief.....I'm with ya man, those games were pure gaming goodness. Unfortunately, MP gaming has pretty much ruined SP gaming for me. As bad as MP gaming can be, it still far surpasses the single player experience.

James Pond!!! nah jus kidding. I would say Black on the PS2, but there is no (co-op)multiplayer, which would kill every other game. I'm goin with HL2, yeah no co-op but the game rocks. Thing with Black is the level of graphics is insane for a PS2 game, especially the explosions. I blew up a petrol tower with an rpg, the explosion was better than anything I've witnessed in HL2 or BF2. Thing was it actually lit up the area and the explosion was blue at the bottom through to orange at the top. Gotta say I never thought graphics like that were possible on PS2, even the guns look in the same league as BF2, infact I'm off to play right now.

I aint clocked it yet, but you gotta say some levels were truly amazing, like the asylum, thats gotta be one of the hardest levels I've played in any game, it was insane amounts of bad guys with shields or rpgs. Altho I only died once on itseaweedspit13 wrote:

Usually when you pick the best game ever, you feel like you have to go back in time to pick up those trail blazers. If so, I played Duke Nukem 3D a ton. Same for Quake 2. The best game of all time is a tie between Half-life 2, Battlefield 2 and Diablo 2. It's awesome when the developers go back and actually make a better sequel.

true there were sum cool levels i thought the bridge level was kinda hard, the main thing that bugged were that the checkpoints are miles away so ud have to do an half an hour bit again if u died, the asylum was cool espically with the concrete pillars it was like the shoot out in the matrix lolbennisboy wrote:

iv had some of the best times of my life with my m8s playing halo 2 and timesplitters 2 and the such.
one of our famous times went like this:
Me: "Joe, Joe! they're in our base!"
*Barbie (Joe) was killed
Joe: "i concur."
had us laughing for ages...
Counter Strike.... End of story.
But Dawn of War is awesome. The graphics are so detailed you can see the eyes and mouthpieces of the troops when close up. The animations are also superb, I really get psyched up whenever I see a Dreadnought picking up a soldier, breaking his back, then slamming the unlucky noob onto the ground. The gameplay is also very unique with the squad system, control zones...
