I did a search and didnt come up with anything so dont kill me if this is a repost. But I just read that E3 is pretty much cancelled form here on in (just waiting for Doug Lowenstein to announce it). Honestly, thats like cancelling Christmas or saying "Sorry little Jonny, you dont get a Birthday this year. NOW GET BACK INTO THE SALT MINES!!!" I was lucky enough to go the past 2 years. E3 is like the mekka for gamers. I remember when I was young dreaming of going. I really hope this isnt true but it looks grim.

Honestly i'm not surprised, with all the restrictions on being able to go, it's a wonder it lasted this long. I mean yeah, it was cool and all, but you really couldn't go if you wanted because of all the restrictions.

Look, E3 won't die. If not next year, the year after, there's gonna be SOMETHING there. Who doesn't like E3? The host building makes shitloads of money. The gamers love it. Game developers and publishers know its the best form of marketing. No one loses. Something's gonna sprout up, and while it may not be named E3 it will be E3.
