Alright. Here goes. To say I have low expectations would be about right.

I have to write a 15000 word research paper on Networking. What ideas do you people have that could fill up 15000 words? Has to be research related to networking, but that's the only restriction. Got it?

Just find some documents about networking and start writing (or typing). It has never failed me, yet. I just sit down with some books and start typing and a few hours later I will be done.

I work in the field and have for some time. The scope is just so broad I'm having a hard time slicing off a segment specific enough to focus on without being so narrow that it precludes 15000 words worth.

Yes, this is computer networking.

for a bachelor's degree I stopped progressing toward when I got my "real" job. Just thought it was something I should finish as I only had 3 classes left.

I work at a bank in the IT dept. Lincoln Bank actually.

Ah ok.

Hit the Marion County Public library database as they have quite a few resources in there. And once you find a few documents on networking maybe you can narrow it down from there. But I say start broad and narrow if you have too. I am sure they are a few books on networking that you could find.

I'm sure there are too. I've never been one to do actual research. I just write what I think and know from experience and throw a few token quotes and references to meet the requirement. Bleh - I hate research.

appreciated efforts, but I don't really need sources, I'm looking for a direction within networking before I try and find a source on it. I can find all the info I need once I know what I'm looking for ...
