ah yoshimitsu, the bane of my existence. his moves don't make sense...

i used to get completely butchered by a guy here who would ground me and then use his helicopter float mix-up. can't stand up, can't lie down, you get hit no matter what.

i stopped playing heihachi after tekken 4. he's still good, i just like faster fighters now.

d/f+1,1 is an awesome move though.

ahh....tekken, brings back memories. me and my friends were totally snowed in on this series. we played tekken 2 for so many hours its ridicolous, tekken 3 was our peak. im quite sure the two best of us 5 (me and my former neighbour) would have qualified to the later stages of a WC if there ever was one.

our rules were always play with random characters.

most of the times the fights were poetry in motion, dodging, stepping, ducking, jumping.

but after tekken 3 we kinda laid off and started doin better things with our life

so imma vote the old school

Cant wait for the psp version its going to be the best game on the machine.

my fav characters were yoshimitsu and lei.

yoshimitsu because he does that weird grab where he takes you in the air spins and lands you on your head, and stabs himself to kill the other guy. lei because of drunken master come on....

you must try tekken 5. it's so fluid and fast, it just feels nice to play such a [mostly] well made game.

this is true. back in tekken 3/tag days a lot of the tourney winners were jack users. jack/ganryu are still very solid fighters now. i still like to bulldog and pressure my opponents though, i just like being aggressive and to pummel my enemies into submission.

I've not played the series since Tekken3. Hwoarang and Brian were my faves... I missed that kickboxer guy from Tekken2 though, I know Brian is the same but better but he was still cool

steve fox is who i'm playing with now. in tekken 5.0 he was ridiculous.... but i still like him after he got nerfed bigtime in dark ressurection.

i just like the way he fights. big pressure, big damage, big juggles.

I'm sorry but Tekken was a button bashers game. True gaming skill was needed for Street Fighter 2 (etc) series. Tekken was really cool on the PS1 when 3D was a novelty but unfortunately they missed the real playability of the Street Fighter Series.

(having said all that I played as Nina.......I liked the double arm breaking grab - no chance of me remembering all the button presses now tho). Ryu would kick all their sorry asses!!

Nina (and her sister ).. (triangle+square for the grab, I believe)
And Brian Fury ofcourse, this guy could kick ass.
Played the first 3 on the ps1 and I liked them very much. (next to mortal combat).

Oh and I remember a character made of wood-blocks, really funny. He/she used to fight with the moves of
a other randomly chosen character.

i like the street fighter seires as well. the alpha games were street fighter at its best. all the crossover titles [marvel vs capcom] suck ass, too much flash and not enough substance. street fighter 3 was too slow for me.

however, tekken is definitely not a button masher's game. soul calibur and dead or alive are much more masher friendly.
