I generally consider anyone with more than 150,000 pts to be some sort of semi-pro BF2 player.  Or at least jobless.  Or too young to have a job.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

But here's a story about a subindustry in China where kids are paid to play computer games.  It doesn't mention many games specifically, but the deal is that these kids play accounts continuously, with the goal of attaining certain levels/ranks/unlocks/spells/potions/magic beans/whatever, and then the accounts are sold "to rich players in the United States and Europe wanting shortcuts to gaming success."

Story Link: For millions of Chinese, playing computer games is a livelihood

So if you've ever played with a three-star General and wondered why he finishes every round with a Purple Heart ...
maybe he got his rank in a CrackerJack, err, Paypal Box.

Not a job I'd want. I play for fun not for work

i didn't think enough people bought BF2 ranks for it to be a worthwhile thing for gaming sweatshops.

chinese kids getting paid to play games? i've NEVER heard of that before.

I think it's for games like World of Warcraft and Everquest.
But there could be some BF2 accounts also.
If we're seeing them in public places like EBay...you know there's ten times as many available black market.
