For me it would be a toss up between "The Wall" and "A Clockwork Orange". I know there are more, so let's see them.
trainspotting was pretty realisitc for me, but then, maybe that says a little too much about myself
The Big Lebowski, or the Wizard of Oz.
Fear and loathing in Las Vegas and Natural Born Killers.
A Clockwork Orange
The Wall for me I guess. I was blown away by the animation.
Regarding A Clockwork Orange, I preferred the book.

I love the Wall
Clockwork Orange is very good too and of course Fear and Loathing. But I have a major hard on for Pink Floyd and The Wall is my favorite album so..

Reading a book before seeing the movie always beats the cinema, books have more depth and are more catchingTyferra wrote:

Hard to argue with "the wall" ftw.
But I'd throw in "Being John Malcovich" and "Fight Club" as good alternatives. They might not be 'psychodelic' in the true sense... but certainly a head trip.

Trainspotting also, can't forget that!
Letters From A Porcupine
If you can stand some violence, "Izo" and "Gozu" are awesome. Most movies by Takashi Miike are really good.
