Pretty soon, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will be released. Its very similar to BF2, except it definitely has better graphics, and its probably going to be much more popular.

Anyway, im just wondering if BF2 will still be alive after this comes out. I mean, just look what happend to BF1942 when they released BF2. Maybe this game will be (semi)dead much sooner than we expected? If i can get a good enough pc, ill probably make the switch to QW

also the graphics arnt that much better with a descent rig you will get the same with 2142

quake runs on a modified doom engine so there not that impressive.

i think quake wars is going to get alot of attention when it first comes out but when the first patch gets released and loads of shit get nerfed then you will get the complaints and everything else. so many people will come back to the BF franchise

Its more like an ET - BF2 hybrid with a doom 3ish plot. I hope the req arent too high, cus my computer is in need of retirement

Considering that 2142 will be out months before ETQW, I'd imagine the majority of people will try both.

Why are so many people choosing sides? Both will have demos, why not just wait until you have actually tried each of them before making statements about which will be better?

I wont play a game wich was created by EA who just fucked a very good game up..they just gave a shit how the community fells with all the CTD and servercrashes.Lots of bugs and everything.EA is working on 2142 with
200 % power....why ?
I personally wont play a game with has bugs and crashes like this.
Because they are fucking scared that Bf 2142 will suck the big time.It will go down like no other game.
Who will win ? Of course Quake Wars will dominate and fuck 2142 up.
iD is making Quake Wars 5 times better and they WILL check all the possible problems what Bf2 has...they test is and fix it befor relasing...

I really like Bf2 like all of us...but the fact that EA let this happen is not normal...they loose players every day coz ppl had enough shit patches...

That's funny, I heard that Quake Wars was only gonna be 4 times better than 2142. Where did you get this information?
