I truly can not stand playing America's Army.. all it really is camp or die. There's no way of getting a feel of the game, because you're dead and watching the remaining campers just sit there for five minutes. Even the fact that its distributed freely throughout the Internet and at Army recruiting centers doesn't make it a good game.

Ive played it for a month (alot more this last week since im still trying to install my bf2) and at the begining i thought it was all camp camp, but there are a few maps where people acctually run around.
Try look for:
-Urban Assault: very CSish, nobody really camps at all, lots of action
-SF Hospital: Very fast rounds (usually about 2-3 mins) and really only the snipers camp-but everyone does the objective (have to either kill or save the VIP) which doesnt take long and the rounds finished. Once you get to 15 honor you can do the SF training and get the best gun the M4.
Maps like Bridge Crossing don't bother going on-camparama.
Its an alirhgt game but doesnt beat BF2

Ever since I sent 3 emails regarding my account retrieval after I f***ed up changing my name, and still got no response from customer service, I've hated it. And get this: I didn't play a single game, multiplayer or singleplayer, and spent about 6 hours getting the requirements to play special forces.
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
ya, the training is the dumbest thing ever, but i got some german guy whos an honor 82 to do it for me.
now im an honor 17, its an ok game, i like bridge crossing.
Edit: Sp.

I like it, but the multiplayer rounds do not last long at all.
Its annoying, they need to introduce a Deathmatch game mode where you can respawn...
I tried it once just to do BRM. That's about it... got sick of the yelling during training IRL, so of course I got sick of the yelling in-game... meh
It is a game of patience.
Something I dont have. Unreal Tournament, here I come! YARR!

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
No its fucking bollocks.
medic being easy?!!! my ASS! the tests took me a hell lot longer than SF training... E&E was easy if u know where to go ill give u a clue: be a fucking ninja, they cant find u.max wrote:

I couldn't hit 36 out of 40 targets so i never got to do the sniper training.
Medic training is easy, google the answers!!
But yeah it's a good game and it's free.

once i knew how to do E&E it is easy. i was always impatient and ran insted of slowly crawling so i got caught.

The medic tests were easy for me too.. although I had CPR and first aid training in high school.. so I had an advantage.
The only prob I had with the training was the SF exercise at the end.

I agree, I would be able to do much better if they had a deathmatch mode.coke wrote:

AA falls into the 'realistic in all the wrong ways' category. i'd rather bite my own testicles than play that game.

i hate my computer. quake4 crashes every 20 minutes.
now THAT is a good deathmatch game. how can you tell? after a fragging session, my brain feels like it's melted to the inside of my skull, my hands twitch involuntarily, and there is a puddle of sweat/piss under my chair.
beat that, AA.

I used to play it a lot - got my honor up to 42.
The thing I didn't like about it was the lack of vehicles - Radio Tower would've been great with a few dune buggies and Hummers.

I keep wanting to try it out, just to see what it's like. Never seem to get it dled.
too realistic makes it boring....
the training was a piece of piss, anyone who cant pass it is dumb lol, probably helps if youve had army training like me though i guess
I played AA alot before I started up BF2. Played for about2-3 months, only got up to 34 honor. Met some cool ppl there. SF training sucked, but got thru it. Think I finished all training...not sure. I liked it, cuz to me, it was "real". 1-2 shots to drop someone...not everybody can use the same gun, gotta be quick enough to use the one u want...only certain ppl can use certain weapons (Like, you can't use the M4 til you beat SF training...this was already covered tho. )...and for a free game, it really looks nice.
Unfortunately, after 2-3 months of playin, someone showed me BF2 at a LAN. Picked it up a week later...then slowly fell to BF2. My AA ppl were wondering where I've been. I didn't dare to tell them...I just quietly slipped out the back...never to be heard from again.
Anyways, my answer to the topic, yes I like it.
