Tonight, me, my brother and 2 friends had a few games of tournament, no limit Texas hold'em.
In the final game, both of our friends were knocked out.
I was shortstacked by 1 to 4.
I drew 3 and a 7.
Our blinds were raised to 200/400.
The flop was 2, 5 and 7
At the post-flop I bet 200, my brother called and went all-in.
I had little choice, since I only had 455 left, so I followed.
The showdown: my brother had 2 Aces, pocket aces!
Those were flying around all night. The odds were very small of that happening again.
The turn was a nailbiter, a 7!!!
I needed that 7, giving me trip 7's.
My brother was stunned and almost thought he'd lost the pot. He still had a stack, so it wasn't over for him.
I was already cheering, but quickly realised it wasn't over.
The River:
An Ace!!!
I lost to a fullhouse, aces over 7. What were the odds?
That finished the tournament and it was a good game to end the night.
I did okay overall, but that last game wrecked my nerves.
Any good (not on-line) games of poker that you've had lately?
