god forbid we give finanical aid to alot of other countries, pay for wars, etc. we are still recovering from WWII for god sakes
I Might Have 50p you can borrow.
lol - america has already been in debt for quite a while, and after having them step on Switzerland and Brazil's feet, I have no feelings to spare...
but employment and wages were up AGAIN last quarter, DC is spending too much, yes, but going broke?
Being the wealthiest nation in the world, that seems strange to me. Shit Bill Gates alone could buy Switzerland and still have enough left over for a hooker
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
lol...I wouldn't be too sure about the "buying switzerland"King_County_Downy wrote:

*conversation continued in PM's lol*
j/k
lol...no, I'd prefer his money going to the poor, which it all will and is going, that to people like bush, where it will end up if taxed
Has America tried looking down the back of the sofa?
If, by 2041, the US is paying more interest on its loans then it earns in tax revenue then your all fooked but i doubt it will get that bad. Bush sucks ass, why the fuck did you give him a second term? Duh!!!
well, gates has donated nearly half his fortune to charities, so much so that he's no longer the world's richest individual. $100billion -> $50billion
Not everyone hated him yet.JohnnyBlanco wrote:

Has America thought about take out a loan?
You have to be careful though, because if you dont keep up repayments, you might have your country Repossessed.

Sorry but that is wrong, he is still by far the richest man in the world, just look at the Forbes list.i3igpete wrote:

You're kidding me right? We have, 9 trillion dollars of it; that is our national debt and it's not getting any better. Of course when Clinton was President we actually had a surplus but Bush has screwed that.paranoid101 wrote:

$2.3 trillion in transactions - was that ever found?
US aid falls far short of UN targets, and there are countries which (in percentage terms) give more aid)stryyker wrote:

Recovering from WWII? WWII pulled you, and many other countries, out the depression by stimulating economies. Further, in terms of workforce lost, Australia suffered worse than the US.stryyker wrote:

i pulled out the calculator and if every american would throw $143333 the gov'ts way they'd be out of dept.

Umm, that'd would only generate a little over 43 billion dollars in revenue, we spent more than 10x that on military expenses alone in 2005, methinks you missed a few decimal places.Nicholas Langdon wrote:

But if you really want to know. John Kerry would of screwed the country up more than it already is.
Although that is for another thread.
Yeah, most lists still have Gates as richer than Buffett and others, but his lead is slipping and is giving a lot of his money away.VigilanteGandhi wrote:

Yeah Clinton actually had the US at a surplus, in 6 years or so Bush has led the US to a record budget deficit, that statement pretty much speaks for itself, I don't need to hear any qualifiers or explanations.
Oh, so the fact that he isn't from America means he doesn't understand economics?topthrill05 wrote:
