Well I decided to re-install bf2 today thinking it would be easy peasy and be over in a few hours (optimism meets realism) so I uninstalled battlefield 2 from the add/remove list and deleted the copy I had in the program files/ea games section for patch 1.4 and installed bf2 from disk again, I re-installed patch 1.3 (luckily saved it to disc) and set about installing AF again, one problem, ea-downloader said it was already installed, so I think to my self no problem - it would probably be installed somehow along with the game. I load up the game and check the maps list on create local - no AF maps. So I ask of you, how do you re-install AF, I'm going to try re-installing ea-downloader again and see if that works now so wish me luck, if not then I guess I'll have to listen to you

~Currently downloading AF installer - will take around 30 mins.

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\USER NAME\eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2af

There's a setup file (If you have installed it once) just replace the user name with your ea downloader user name

You don't have to download it again!

Thanks but I hate to admit that it's already too late lol. Anyway I'll see whether I can give you +1 or whether my post count isn't high enough yet.

same method with EF, xcept i dont know its full folder name, but i know it euro or something in its name.

Take these folders, just copy them to your disk burner program, and burn seperate disks for EF and AF. You can even give those files to friends who need to reinstall since your user account in the EA downloader is how your game is locked to your account. Only the setup puts the files on, and does not contatin any of your account information.

Great way to back up the booster packs!
