if you worry about that, its maybe because you are doing something wrong, dont you ?

Only thing I can see as being a problem with hardware banning:

Buying equipment from Ebay, just to find it was hardware banned. Currently, there seems to be little recourse you can take to get your goods unbanned again.

You mean the PunkBuster Hardware ban you get if you try to circumvent its hack checks? No thanks.

Have zero clue wtf you're talking about.  Never even heard of a hardware ban.  What the fuck is it, and how does it work?

Currently there has been hardware bans issued by punkbuster. A punkbuster and evenbalance hardware balance keeps you from playing ANY game on punkbuster enabled servers without buying a new harddrive and network card. They also have an invalid users agreement with this in it. They are using it as a monopoly for there company. They are also potentially hurting retail of the hardware and they maybe hurting other peoples hardware that should not of been banned. Please help stop hardware banning.

1) How is their user agreement illegal?

2) How is PB a monopoly? If they are the only anti-cheat people on the market, they can't be wronged because no one else has decided to compete with them.

3) Hurting the retail of HW? Do you even know how their PBGUID system works? How specifically or non-specifically do they target bans? Do i need the NIC? The Graphics Card? The whole system?


This petition sounds like it was written by a 4 year old who fell down and scraped their knee and is now screaming at the ground for being mean. There's no research behind it, no reasons, and no rationale.
