i give it a yay, i like variety and the maps and guns and army are cool. i could never sit on karkand all day, might as well play a demo
I bought AF and EF and neither held my interest for very long at all. I guess I'm just not into flying or armor enough to make AF fun at all, but with EF, it was a little better....in spots.
If I had to recommend an addon at all, it would be special forces. Better quality of play in general (maps are more detailed, fewer assheads) and you get more maps to boot. There are no jets, few choppers, and goodies (grapple, zipline, teargas, night vision, etc etc)

There is only 3 servers.... why would you get it? AF took 98% of their fan-base.
EF is a suberb booster pack. It has a new army, great weapons, Tiger and Great Wall, the best map ever.

Tell me there are more than 3 FULL servers...heres what I find on a daily basis:
1 EATW Official-1 BF2 64p (v1.3) [ 24/64 ]

4 24/7 ARMORED FURY & EURO MAPS [UTAC] [ 1/64 ]

6 24/7 Armored Fury + Euro Force [ 0/64 ]
That was on the filter at Game-monitor and has been that way for awhile now..even my fav "La Cantina" is gone. Suuuuurrre they have more than 3 servers, but are they full or do they have at least a game in them??

Yay, although 2 of the 3 maps stink, Great Wall was definitely something. I can't say I really like the voice sets for the Euro Union. I would like to see some of EU's weapon set as a third tier unlock. ALl and all, you can't say no to 10 bucks. I make that much sitting on my ass for an hour.
well depends what time of day you play, im on at 9pm PST, and UTAC is always full, La Cantina is always full, there are 2 more that are always full, cant think the names, and then the jolt.co.uk smoke screen one has players on if im on earlier, but i dont like that, get a crap ping. its gonna be different depending on the time, but no, your right u probably wont find 3 servers full at the same time, thats very rareimdead wrote:

Well, theres an EA 24/7 Smoke Only, 64man server. Usually has at least 40players in it, often up as much as 50+

Love the EU army, they have the coolest tanks and nice and fun weapons. Smoke Screen and Great Wall are awesome. Tabara (?) can be fun too, infantry combats are awesome when EU has all execpt the first MEC flag.

Yeah, infantry combats on all but one flag? I highly doubt there are infantry battles on Tabarra, more like plane, tank killing infantry. More like infantry are running for cover, as they are surronded by tanks.. I've never seen an all out infantry battle on EF; maybe GW.Kratos Aurion wrote:

EuroForce is my favorite I think...over AF. I love all the maps and the euro-weapons are very cool. When it first came out (even before it came out) lots of people were bitching about it (for no good reason, imho). I think this negative "press" made many people unwilling to give it a fair shake. I got it a few days ago and I'm hooked. Awesome booster!!

There is sometimes. If the EU captures the Heavy Equipment storage, there is this mound immediately south of it. As commander, I could always see dozens of snipers and AT guys prone on it, trying to push forward. MEC would then try to overrun them, and yes it did become a small infantry skirmish. I really think the EU got the worst vehicles in the game. A plane that barely flys fast enough to out run choppers and handles like theres a wing missing, a choper that the gunner's gun only points as low as the horizon and a tank that you can't see the bottom half of so it's hard to tell tell which way your tank is positioned if you have been spinning your turret around. But I do play a round here and there for some diversity. I guess it was worth my 10 dollars.
