So I've only been playing this game for almost 200 hours, no big deal. A particular friend of mine has almost 500 hours racked up and he plays this game religiously while I play recreationally. Anyways, the other day I saw him slowly climbing down a ladder, and I told him he could just use the shift button. He honestly had no idea you could do that, after all his playing! We had this huge debate and I told him it was so obvious that everyone knows how to do it. He, however, claimed that not as many people as I think would know how to do it. So I bring you this poll. I want to see how many people really knew about this, and how many people didn't know, prior to this poll.

Saw someone do it and then just thought, well lets see what I should press to slide down myself. Oh shift does that! Then proceed to kill whoever watched you do it :p
You can do it by double tapping W when climbing down aswell
Also did you know if you right click with a grenade out that you get a scope attached?TRY IT!

Always surprising what someone with a lot of time in didn't catch/learn... there's a similar thing in Photoshop where you press the shift key to edit between two clicks, a workmate with more time using it than I had hadn't ever picked that up.

This is one of those "oh duh" moments, but many people (including me) never thought to slide down ladders. I was at about 150hrs before I knew this.
yeah I knew (although it took me some time to find out) but now I prefer deploying my chute when jumping of a small building.

I just had a thought: you guys that already knew this can you remember how you learned? Is it one of the tips you hear when you're first playing and maybe people miss it (like I did with left-clicking to call a medic)?
