Doesnt matter were you live in Aus, its a great Country to live in but specifically i would recommend Perth as i have lived all over Australia and really it is a great place to live. Be warned the temps in Perth can reach over 40C during summer although the last few summers have been very mild and have not really hit that 40C mark much.

I stayed with a friend (who is also English but now lives there) in Katoomba for just over a month. I also stayed in Sidney with friends in Balmain.
My friend has now married an aussie girl and has a kid, I am defiantly going to go back there, maybe next year….. until then I am stuck in London.
I have to say, oz is the coolest place I have ever visited and the people were well friendly, I like the down to earth attitude

bulli nsw...which is a suburb of wollongong...its nice here right by the beach with the mountains behind us
qld is nice to live but can be damn hot
perth is the place i would live if not here but it can get hot
dont even consider NW OZ its way too remote and gets fucking hot
sydney is pretty busy but can get hot
melbourne is full of cafes and that stupid fed sqaure and can get hot
adelaide is a cemetary and gets hot
canberra is full of politicians
depends on what work you want and what type of lifestyle you wanna live
closest to ireland that i have seen in aussie is around wollongong and just sth nice and green with some small rock walls on the hills

kambah used to be worse than charnwood but its nice now. housing prices have gone up alot here of late.
although a few years ago i did walk out of the shops and find a guy trying to steal the headlight protectors off my car.
