I have seen many godawful things on the internet, but nothing scares me like old videogame graphics. Ever since I was a kid, the weird demented pixilated shapes on C64 and Atari and some crap NES games have given me a real feeling of fear.

The game that caused this was Pyjamarama on C64. I was playing it one night as a kid and all of a sudden I got really freaked out and anxious by something that happened on the screen and turned it off.

I can't remember what i saw, but it was part of the game and was meant to be mundane. It just flicked the fear switch in my head and the switch got stuck.

The scariest game ever to me is not Doom 3 or Undying, those games are a fun kind of scary. It is Skifree. When you ski too far down the mountain or whatever a brown yeti thing comes out and eats you. My god that scared the shit out of me.

I dont think its scary, It brings back memories of the good times when you had no worries. I played some old Donald Duck-game where you had to work in different stores to get some money to bye a present for those three kids, cant spell their names on english, later I spilled Soda all over my black, thin discets........... And on Amiga I always played Super Frog & Cannon Fodder.

One game I remember getting really spooked out on was Super Metroid on SNES. The eery first levels and the music was enough for me.

Imagine that thing bouncing around on your screen - coming out of nowhere at 20 miles per hour chasing you, grabbing you, holding you above his head- then throwing you into his belly after being promptly devoured. Then imagine him jumping around in joy with his point teeth showing.

The few things that freaked me out were all the random things that tried to attack you in Paperboy for NES, especially that weird giant leaf-ghost thing, lol.

And the sound of an IMP clawing your back out of no where in DooM with the volume up high made me jump.
