apostrophitis?  what do you say when you see a dinosaur? do-you-think-he-sarus!

The reason for the mistakes is that you don't have to learn the english language correctly to graduate school, college and even some degrees. So people don't, simply.
All that's needed is the bare basics, such as the meaning of words and being able to string them together in a coherent sentence.
Punctuation isn't really cared about.

Here's some good ones to spread around: "Winded Tintows", "I gotta shake a tower", "I gotta shake a tit", and DAMN! She got some tig 'ol bitties!!!.
Those are my own personal retarded statements I make on an almost daily basis.

Unfortunately, Fretzi's original message is somewhat hypocritical.

"There seems to a pandemia of apostrophitis in this forums.": If you're using the plural of "forum", then the modifier (the antecedant "these") needs to be plural as well; these forums.

"doing this terrible mistakes?": This sentence fragment makes the same error that was previously stated.

"Why do people spell it with an e?": You have a dangling antecedant here. The reader is uncertain what "it" is referring to.

"The prefix "re" describes a repeated action?": This is a statement, and should be puncuated as such. 

"Why oh why is everybody so incredibly stupid to copy this mistake?": You need to comma splice the injuctory phrase "oh why" into the rest of the sentence, not leave it involved where it bogs down sentence flow. As well, the phrased sentence actually states, "Why is everybody stupid when they copy the mistake?", rather than "Why is everybody stupid enough as to copy the mistake?", which is what I'm assuming was your intended message. A small difference, but it completely changes the meaning of the sentence. Oh, and try to avoid using the term "everybody". Using this word to describe people is almost always incorrect, and leads to logical fallacies. Rarely does "everybody" ever do anything.

I do not claim to have perfect grammar myself, and I understand that English isn't your first language, but if you're gonna point fingers, then make sure you point one at yourself. As far as bad grammar on the internet is concerned, using the contractive apostrophe is the least of most peoples' concerns.

I have to admit the only rule concerning apostrophes in german I know is to hardly use them.

I can tolerate it on Forums and the like because I know there's no way I can make a difference.

But what I really, really hate, is when people 'try' to be formal and want to be (such as in a video title or important announcments) but still make that mistake.
