I was a medical librarian for a hospital in Gilroy for a few years, and I did a lot of work with the MBU among all the other departments.  I have friends who work one-on-one with patients in Planned Parenthood clinics, and a lot of the family friends we have are doctors (my mom is a VP of Quality/Risk Management).

Aside from that, do you have anything else to say about the mother's right to choose?
Yeah, I got plenty to say about it............but this issue is one that is pointless to debate. It is such a polarizing issue that no one will EVER convince the other who is right.

there is nothing on your resume that convinces me that you would be allowed to be in the same room with a woman who is giving birth or having an abortion. I know doctors as well, I doubt they would let me in to watch them work just cuz I wanna see.

W00t Pro-choice!

I've always wondered... if a fetus is "alive" at conception, why is it that we choose to celebrate the date of birth instead of the date of conception? Wouldn't that seem more logical if a baby is alive at that time?
While it may be argued that a lump of tissue the size of an eraser isn't human, something that has brainwaves, a heart beat, can feel pain (like the human fetus can at 6 weeks), kicks, sucks it's thumb, and can get hiccups like humans do before we are born probably is, when the change occurs we'll never know, so how about we err on the side of live babies. I mean are babies that are born premature not alive? My friend was born 2 months early, she'll get a kick out of that.

Edit: and how exactly do you know that lump of tissue the size of an eraser isn't human anyway?
I still support abortion pre-brain development. The lump of tissue is human in nature, except it's like a tumor. As I said, until the brain has formed, it's just a mindless leech. When you speak of "the change", I have a feeling you're talking about the ability to conceptualize. That's like...after toddler phase (the point at which adjusting and regularizing control over natural ability has been developed [i.e. major neuron construction = complete]). Children are about 4-12, and that's basically the point at which they could be categorized under the box named "Intelligent Life".

So next time a snotty 3 year old is making too much noise at a restaraunt I can snap it's neck?

In a forum of mostly STFU noob and you got pwnzerered9586tothe6xpower... I appluad a realistic, somtimes,a dreadful topic as this.

There are a few ways to look at this, and I know there is no cut and dry answer.

One thing I strongly believe in is the old saying that opinions are like assholes....everbody has one.

As twisted, fake, and PC  we have become: I feel we as a whole are making some real progress.

We are in a time when arguments have amazing capablities. Rascism, justification, and reglion have reached the point of question and somtimes beyond. Context and human intrest are becoming debatable...even within the "countries of concern."

Civilian murder and military murder are two different things... we all know why.

In gerneral I tend to differentiate between right and wrong by asking myself "So how much knowledge do you have of both sides."

Knowingly; that is the exact problem the world faces.

I would have loved to see some relgions anti christ on 666...didn't happen.

I think religion is a very strong motive and somtimes, a deciding factor in murder. Military or civilian.  Its such a nutty topic I'm going to leave on this note and let the negative karma begin.

Why not make a concious effort to wait it out and see whos god wins? Both (or all) sides stop, get down to the real economical concerns, and wait to see what hell the other religion goes to?

Yes I feel that iraq war and defenses (offensive) contribute to 2 causes....and its positve for the leaders of both. Check out some stuff on 911.  I have some great links on the 911 thread.

Religion and morals go hand in hand.

I say, the more questions, the better.

P.S. Sorry for randomness I just drank a 12 pack of lager
