EA Downloader... broken?

I log in in the EA Downloader, and go to buy the game, but when it asks me to re-enter the password for my username... I do, click OK, and then it just re-loads, asking it again. It doesn't say Invalid Password (I have tried enetering a different password incase what I thought was wrong - and that one came up as Invalid), and it just keeps asking, and I gave up after 10 straight go's...

Whats up?

this may sound stupid, but if you havent, try restarting your computer. also, when i started up the d/ler to install AF, it had to install a patch. maybe your patching system is broken? if the restart doesnt help, try uninstalling the EAD downloader, and re-downloading the application and installing it again. i think that should do it...

By the way the way EA Downloader is set out for me is odd too... can't scroll and see all the text as you can see... I have to navigate by pressing TAB so it moves from box to box

Try downloading latest version of ea downloader and re-installing over the one already on your pc.

I only just installed it... so I could get AF... will a re-installation do anything? I seem to remember it being like this the last time I had EA Downloader (I uninstalled it ages ago)

Try using a differant Browser, Internet Explorer or Firefox. I had the same problem and used Firefox to get it

Do you mean a different browser to download EA Downloader? EA Downloader uses an in-built browser I thought... It just says EA Downloader, not Firefox or IE. I do all my browsing by Firefox by the way unless I have to use IE (ie. downloading from Microsoft)

How queer... I just went to EA's site outside of the EA Downloader and now here I am entering my card details to download

Yeah. It's strange but for Armoured Fury or any purchased game to show up in your EA Downloader, u need to pay for it first and link if to your Online Profile. Then you can download and install .. and play

I personally downloaded Armoured Fury from Bit Torrent. I suggest this to anyone if you have trouble getting it through EA Downloader. I got it much faster that way through BT.

OK I've paid and I got an e-mail from EA giving the thumbs up to download...

After I had paid, I had to enter in my Battlefield 2 name so I could play it on that account, and I did. Now it tells me to go to EA Downloader, log in, and download. I have a different username for EA Downloader, logged in, and now I don't get anything, just telling me to buy it????????

I've paid, and elected the username to use it in Battlefield 2 as Ronan_UK.

I am told to log in to EA Downloader to download it as it is now available. I have 4 accounts for EA Downloader all under [email protected]

I log in as my main one (I never use but I do for this)

I remember that the only link this EA account has with Ronan_UK (my BF2 name) is the e-mail (no card details etc. as you can't put them on EA account)

Nothing shows up in terms of download available, just a handful of trailers for games to watch

I try with my other accounts, and the same happens.

Why is this? Is there something really wrong?

Yes. It's called EA Downloader is the worst piece of shit ever.

Hi Ronan. Im pretty sure this is where you are having trouble..

Log into EA Downloader using the login name you entered when paying for Armoured Fury. EA Downloader is VERY account specific and will only give you the download option using the same account you paid the cash for.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any added trouble.

By the way.. by paying for the game and getting the EA okay to download Armoured Fury, its now linked to your account. U dont have to just download the game from EA Downloader as the setup for AF does not contain any CD keys whatsoever. Only Special Forces will contain a CD Key when downloading from EA Downloader. Im not sure if you are familiar with Bit Torrent?

If so, go to http://isohunt.com and do a search for "Armored Fury" (exact typing) and you'll get a healthy amount of torrents. Pick your target, download install and you're ready to fight the yanks on their home soil.
