ive downloaded and installed, but cant play til i leave work.. so i need an informed opinion.

DC MADE bf42 great.  '42 was a grand game, but when DC/DCX appeared, bf42 matured.  Im hoping that AF can replicate those battles that DC gave us..

Someone put me out of my misery and tell me if they are bedbuddies..

Well if you are looking for DC battles wait for the DC mod.

AF is a nice substitute untill that time.

play the usi mod. it is basically dc.

a-10s f-16,  apaches, hinds, loadsa humvee variants. big maps. real big maps.

fighters can only do air to air, ground attack can only do ground, which is quite nice i think.

really well put together for a mod. great models. great sounds. and an a-10 that can kill tanks.

the apache has nice touches too. i e the gunner actually looks through a proper tv screen instead of just havin a crosshair like the cobras. plus he can zoom.

usi dude. worth it. altho i'll prob try DC too if they are makin a newer version

lol old DC was fun tho, even if u had to keep tappin 'W' real fast to keep the choppers in the air lol

exept that the USI mod sucks...a-10 is WAY to overpowerd :S but in AF it is to underpowerd

USI has them.

DC was made out of love, AF out of profit, that's why DC will always win.

nah sorry dude, i think the a-10 in usi is just right for a game.  it goes fast enough to evade regular ground fire, maneuverable enough to try and escape aa/attack jets. the cannon over heats quickly, and the only way your going to destroy a tank is to land every round on it b4 the overheat, which is damn hard. even then it will just about set it alight, forcing the dude to bail.

and yes usi has handheld stingers, which is good. keeps the ground attack jets on their toes. that plus the hmmv avenger.

DC is all I played for months before BF2 came out.  And when BF Vietnam came out....I bought it and went right back to DC.  The post above is right - DC was spawned for different reasons than these boosters....which usually means it is better.....just like college sports vs. professional (at least in the U.S.!).
