D-Day Minus 1 Day
Can't wait, like you I have been waiting since March 28th. Hope the A-10 is as good as I want it to be
Cant wait looks awesome and why do people moan about bf2 Ive never had any problem's with any patch's etc and i really dont mind paying £6 for 3 new maps
keep up the good work EA
keep up the good work EA
The only problem is that everyone is goint to want to fly and there will be tk's and long rows on the airfield, but beside that i guess it'll be great....
I'm going to get AF regardless now. I didn't get Special Forces because I didn't want to pay another £20 for what is essentially just extra weapons. I doubt my pc as it is now could handle the increased (yet not advertised) system requirements.
AF is only £6 though, and it looks like a bit of fun. I consider that worth spending even if in the end I only enjoy the thing for 10 hours.

I think we all know how the market system works. But if your idea of trying to get them to change something is not buying the game, then good luck. They don't care. They still have hundreds of thousands of other customers all around the world. What you are proposing is ridiculous. It's not a patch, it's a BOOSTER PACK. It's OPTIONAL. And it's only ten bucks. I don't know what your problem is. Don't like it? Don't buy it! ComradeWho, we've had people like you and probably you yourself creating other discussions just for stuff like this.ComradeWho wrote:

They're really treating us like little consumer-vermin that they can toss around and throw scraps at but no matter how rotten they are we'll always come back for more.
releasing a crap patch to their most popular game and then forgetting about it because they want to focus their attention on their new game may be good business decision, but it doesn't help us very much. not buying their crap makes ignoring the consumer a bad business decision. so the power is really in our hands.
and regardless of that - why give your money to em?
I like to play Battlefield 2. ComradeWho, apparently, doesn't. So why is he on these forums?
He's the type who says "A duhhr, we can change America by not voting! duhhrrrrrrr!!!!!!!"
why am i on the forums? i thought that was kind of obvious.
other than that i like the idea of the birds. little worried that the warthog will be too easily gunned down by AA/fighters.. do we really need a slower version of the f15? have fun fighting over that, tolerating the TKs, and waiting for whoever got the plane to crash so you can fly around for ten seconds before becoming "easy kill #48484" for someone on the other team. And though I also like the idea of the littlebirds.. if the minigun mounted in the window for the use of the passenger is like the one on the BH then what is the point?
This thread is for people who are looking forward to playing AF. So, please, if you don't mind.......

You're not being rude at all. I honestly don't really have any new problems with 1.3. And a lot of other people haven't either. BF2 is still highly legit, and fun to play, imo.donkeybond wrote:
It is fine you don't download mods, but I was thinking when I saw one of you reasons, that was, "it's not official BF2."
I don't want to be rude, but, not downloading the mods because it isn't official BF2, I think that is a strange reason. Does The official BF2 stand for quality? For me, it was at first. But now, with all these new patches and bugs, I think that we've end up worst with the patches than it was at first. It would might even be better if we went back to 1.0.
Now, back on topic: of course, you can have your own reasons, and I think that if you had such bad experience with the mods of CoD2 that is a good reason. But if you meant with "it's not official BF2" that the things coming from dice have a higher quality than some mods, I disagree.
I mean "Official BF2" as in having the Ranking system. I've been playing CoD for the past two years, but I don't even have proof of that. In BF2, you have something to show that you played the game, and the ranks and awards are something extra to work for. It adds structure to the game
Compared to BF2, CoD2 is an anarchy. Public server wise. I think if any other people here play CoD2 they will agree with me. Almost no support. They've released one patch in the past eight months. But the game is still in beta testing, it seems. They have no concept of the term "recoil".

It would be nice if they added the scout helos to vanilla BF2 maps ... the mobile UAV part is going to be killer.DirtyMexican wrote:

Yes..indeed one more day..until the fateful day...6/6/06....
That is all, its currently up and running for those who have it already. It is Ranked!
I was going to buy amored fury untill I realized that if you bought Vanilla, Special Forces, Euro Forces and armored Fury Bf2 that you have just wasted $100 on a game full of bugs.
I know I've already posted ........... but I still can't wait ....... AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I want an A-10 NOW!! (and so will 50,000 other people tomorrow ... maybe I'll have to wait a bit)

i agree, all the crap in armored fury i got for free in teh USI mod and the project reality mod,and both of those are far less buggy and typically more fun then battlefield 2 has ever beendonkeybond wrote:
If you like little birds that much, why don't you download project reality mini mod for FREE?
I mean, if a mod-team who are not payed to work on their mod, can make the little bird and distribute it for free, why doesn't EA distribute it for free?
I know, maybe you want new maps etc. but there are tons of mods and map packs on the internet which have less bugs than the last patch.
What do you get by buying armored fury? how many maps? how many extra vehicles? how many extra weapons?
Sorry for this skeptical post, but I think any free mod has more new stuff in it than armored fury.
and btw,the a-10 is gonna blow in armored fury, a slow f-18 basiclly.and the gatteling gun is gonna be a joke, just look at the black hawk, they turned a minigun into a pea shooter,so these guys have no limits.on the bright side its definantly a twist to see some american maps in there, however 3 maps is a bloody ripoff.

Okay, folks, reporting to you straight from the front here at the Sharqi Peninsula radio station. The time on on the Eastern Coast of the United States of America is officially 22:35, 5th of June, 2006. Reports from home indicate that a massive invasion of the North American coasts has begun, with the Peoples Liberation Army of China landing in the Alaskan region, and the Middle Eastern Coalition landing on the Eastern coast of the United States, dangerously positioned in perfect striking positions for the final assault on the US capitol.
>>>THIS IS NOT A DRILL<<<
USMC forces are in desperate need of reinforcements. The final battle is upon us. Good night, and good luck.

Cya on the Battlefield. I'll be one of the Spec-Ops raining C4 on your asses from the Little Birds!! HAHAHAH!!

you're kind of an idiot if you think consumer boycotts are pointless. it just makes me think you're somebody that's talking about something you've spent no energy looking into. oh and i also posted about the little booster pack.Spearhead wrote:
