A large scale operation to close down a terrorist chemical bomb making factory in england came to a climax in teh last few days when a house was raided by armed police  and one "suspected" {VERY LIKELY} terrorist was shot for resisting with intent...

these kind of things makes you happy the police are acctually doing something so we dont have a repeat of the 7/7 attacks or the 21/7 attacks.

as the americans say--

God bless Britain

Good on ya boys. They have a lot of experience with the IRA from 69-99 so you can bet yer arse they have got it down to a science. I say let MI5 and Mossad loose in Iraq and Iran and let them mess these boogers up. With these kind of people you have to go for their throats before the cut yours.

Too cool, way to go my British neighbours......(and i dont say that very often)

The terrorist was shot for refusing to "freeze" when ordered to do so. He was shot in the chest but is in an unfortunately "stable" condition.

They probably want him alive so they can question him and so possibly be able to foil more plots. Capturing more terrorists and foiling even more plots. It's an intricate web.

What!!  Really should watch the news occasionally.  Seems to be some debate though over who fired the shot.

theres always some debate.
like with that brazilian in teh underground who was shot as a asuspected terrorist...even though he wasnt it was his fault he was shot..
they shouted many warning and he continued to run, bearing in mind a week before the tubes were bombed, so they had to stop it from happening again.

UK armed officers guidelines

-Police officers can shoot "to stop an imminent threat to life"
-A firearms officer should identify themselves and give an oral warning of intent to shoot
-Officers should not fire warning shots except in "most serious and exceptional" circumstances
-Shots should be aimed at the central body mass
-The Operation Kratos [shoot-to-kill] policy allows officers to shoot at the head without warning if they believe the suspect may detonate a bomb
-Kratos does not require police to see a "suicide jacket" before opening fire

I was talking about the guy shot after the London bombings.  The one where officers fired shot after shot into him as he lay on the ground.
