well ur views will be totally different when theyve got 600 missiles aiming at your country and no one in the rest of the world really gives a shit about. Also they wont allow your country to join at least WHO and wont get proper medical supplies during the time of a world flu (that time was SARS).Rosse_modest wrote:

Meh. As music/software prices go up, so too does piracy, so companies raise prices to combat piracy, so piracy goes up. It's a vicious cycle. Who cares?

I don't know if this has been mentioned, I haven't had the time to read all of it yet, seeing as my internet is shut off in around 1 minute, but if anyone really wants to pay up to 800 dollars for a photoshop programm that he will only use for sigs or messing around, then that person must have a whole lot of money! I don't.
Also, pirated music is the best way to see if a cd is good or not, and influences wheter or not you buy it

Forum sigs aren't all that important.Konfusion0 wrote:

I know, but I had a lot of time on my hands and I was bored...
Surely there are lots of other legal ways to entertain yourself than by using a pirated software program?Konfusion0 wrote:

I also use it for making movies(believe it or not), making banners(I get paid for some of them...) and school work
Even with those activities the 800 pounds sterling they charge you is too much

(not intended as an insult, just mean the G.I.M.P. does the same job for free www.gimp.org)
There are free alternatives to most software packages, and if you've got time on your hands then there is no reason not to teach yourself how to use them.
I've now replaced Macromedia studio with a combination of NVu, PHPEclipse, GIMP and more. And I don't feel guilty for charging people for my work, as I'm not using educational licenced software for commercial purposes.

I suppose it isn't right but it's not like a major crime like murder or rape.
