I tried to install Splinter Cell but I get an message that says "Data error (CRC check)"
What does it mean and how can I fix it?

Specs:
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.93GHz
CD drive: Sony DVD RW DW-Q30A
Ram: 1536MB (2*256 + 2*512)
Motherboard: ??????
