I had to pick Chinese as I'm married to a Chinese Singaporean...

But IMO I have seen stunning girls from every one of the choices.

Got 11 out of 18.  No fair, some were mixes.  But I did get all but 1 of the Japanese.  A combination of manner, eyes, and smile.

Missed 3 Koreans.  Missed 3 Chinese.   Going back, I would have gotten 2-3 more correct if I didn't rush it.

As for the 3 pics, doctored, but my guess would be: Korean, Chinese, Japanese, from left to right.

My old roommate's last name (before his adoption by his American Dad) was Monarez.
From what he told me, as we all thought Monarez was a strange middle name, was that he didn't have a middle name and took his last name as his middle when he was adopted by his American Dad.  He lived with his birthmother and his grandparents.  All who's last name was Moneraz.

So this is where I got my Filipino knowledge from.  Unless he was just BSing me
Yup, that we did.  Spanish and American colonization.  Migrants from China and Malaysia.   Ilocano refers to those from the Ilocos region, which is heavily Spanish influenced.

We're now getting Korean migrants too.  In fact, about a year ago, a Korean immigrant girl, Sandara Park, took 2nd place at a Philippine talent contest akin to American Idol plus dancing/acting.  She now has an album, movie gigs, and TV appearances.  She actually wasn't very talented, but we're all gaga over anything Chinese/Korean/Japanese pop culture.

BTW, it's filipino trandition to take the mother's maiden name for the child's middle name, and as such, the Monarez middle name.

lol fair or not, they are all Asians. For a mark of 11 out of 18, I would say that's excellent even for a barely passing mark. As I said before, there is no way you would know for sure where an Asian is from just by judging from appearance on a street out of nowhere.

Whether the picture is docotor or not, it's not important. I am going to tell you the answer for the 3 pictures later because I want to see more people's answer for that.

It's cool, as long as you don't deny your heritage.  If you're curious about back home, DirecTV now offers filipino programming via the TFC/ABS-CBN and GMA networks.

First of all, that site is biased because they choose people who look close to eachother overall.  So you can't even count that as a credible source.  And you won't always guess right when you guess a nationality.  But there are suttle differences...

lol biased towards what?? I don't think the word "biased" applies in this case. I don't understand what you mean by saying "look close to each other overall".  Maybe I should rephrase the words for you as "I can't distinguish between them because they all looked the same?" Looks like you are just as idiotic as me. Credible or not, 1.3 million people have done this test since August 2001. Just the number alone is good enough to make it as credible.

Hawaii is often described as a melting pot, both culturally and racially, and not without good reason.  In a state where most of the residents are descended from Asian ancestors (Filipino, Chinese, Korean, Japanese) who originally came to work on sugar plantations or pineapple farms, you come to see a great mix of Asians.  My conclusion?  Damn, is it hard to tell the difference between them.

Things like cheekbones, eyes, lips, and height can be used to make generalizations, but of course there are many exceptions.  I went to school with a 6'2" Chinese guy, a six-footer who was half Filipino and Chinese, and a six-foot-tall Korean.  I stand 6' tall myself (I'm mostly Japanese).  On the other hand a few of the girls (one Japanese, one Korean, that I remember) were under 5 feet.  So there's a LOT of variance between different races, and even between two different people of the same heritage--enough to make generalizations worthless.

In high school we would always joke that as you move east from China, the people get hairier.  That's another generalization, and it's also untrue.  Yes, Japanese (including Okinawans, who to some are VERY "manly" if you catch my drift) tend to have more facial and body hair than, say, Chinese, Koreans or Filipinos.  But I only have to shave two or three times a month (and I'm in college and done with puberty, in case you're wondering).

So in short...if you think you can tell the difference, I won't argue with you.  But if you have a hard time distinguising between your different Asians, maybe it's because there are no hard-and-fast rules to which everyone adheres.

The definition of biased is "To influence in a particular, typically unfair direction."

Now lets break this down.  The goal of a website called alllooksame.com is to make it so all asians look the same.  THAT would mean that the site is biased in the sense that it is trying to make people not know the difference between asian races.  Which is a bias...  So biased does apply.  If the site was called www.an-unbiased-look-at-asian-faces.com  THEN you could assume that bias would not be a problem there...

Here is the sentence "look close to each other overall" in a way that you may understand.

The site selects people from China, Korea and Japan with faces that make it difficult to distinguish which nationality is connected to which face.  Therefore, they are working towards their goal of making people think that no one can tell the difference between Chinese, Korean and Japanese people.

You think having 1.3 million people take a test automatically makes it credible?  If all information was like that, then you could say that President Bush started the war in Iraq because he is Hitler's brother as long as 1.3 million people voted for that...

AND you can't say it is credible because the goal of the site is to make all the asian people look alike!

No I didn't slap myself in the face, actually I was being reasonable by admitting that sometimes people will get it wrong.  Which is not ignorant and not idiotic.  Here are the definitions of those words just to clear that up for you.

Ignorant - Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.

So by admitting that people will make mistakes in guessing a nationality I was not "Showing a lack of education or knowledge".

Idiotic - Showing foolishness or stupidity.

If you think that being reasonable instead of saying "I CAN DEFINATELY TELL THE DIFFERNCE IN NATIONALITIES EVERY SINGLE TIME!"  is "showing foolishness or stupidity"...  Then I think you should study the English language a little more...

Actually,yeah.... You should definately study English more.  Especially since every argument you just tried to make reguarding my "lack" of knowledge in the words I was saying, was just proven wrong.

Granted I have yet to meet my Japanese girlsfriends parents.  I have met many other asian parents of girls I was dating and if you show a genuine interetst in their culture and language then you are in!  You know the word for foreigner in Japanese, so thats a start!  LOL!  Its all about your love of the culture in the parents eyes, and not some other nationality trying to take over their poor daughter for a hot piece of Japanese a$$...

Besides, in todays modern world most Japanese people realize and see many benefits in marrying people from different nationalities.  I think if you get into the WWII age of Japanese though, then you have problems.  Those are the people that always stared at me a lot on the trains when I studied in Japan.

/me laughs at all the white people with yellow fever.

http://modelminority.com/article1038.html

The basis of the Western misconception of the Asian female is typically rooted in fantasy, mainly for Western men afflicted with what Prasso calls "yellow fever," the exoticized Asian woman as attentive and seductive. According to her, this misperception originates from the European imperialistic spirit as well as the missionary complex. Under the British colonial project, especially during its Victorian period, Western male perceived the Asian female as exotic and sexually decadent. For them, as Prasso described, "The 'Orient' has always meant lands far away, full of opulence and sensuality, danger, depravity, and opportunity." This European belief was exported to the new world, America, without any criticism.

Yeah, yellow fever will get ya!  So watch out!!! LOL!

That article you gave was a little broad though.  If you come from a poor country in asia, sure you will love the idea of being with a rich white person or whatever nationality.  But a Japanese girl is completely different.  There is the obsession with English in Japan, but dating a white guy would not make you be "accepted" or "part of the group" in Japan.  If anything it would make you different than the group, which is exactly what Japanese people (especially girls) do not want to do.

So yea the web site is biased because you can't tell the difference between Asians? Don't make me laugh. Your defination certainly applies very well to your own thread. "To influence in a particular, typically unfair direction that Japanese girls are hot". Not saying that it's completely wrong, but as khmer said earlier, "To me there is no best. You can find good in all listed. Like in any race there are the good and the bad. I like them all ". Again, that just proves that your own thread is pointless and biased.

Politics VS. Asian girls? I don't see any connection there. I don't want to argue with you in politics as things can get very complicated, which may go beyond your understanding; so I am not going to comment on that.

According to your defination for idiotic or idiot, you called me an idiot because of my inability to distinguish between Asians. So I am showing foolishness and stupidity for not being able to recognize the difference? That's just laughable. Looks like you are the one who needs to study more English as well? If your first language is English, then that makes it even more pathetic.

No argument here.  God bless the mixes.  In almost all cases (not all by the way) I've noticed, DNA diversity seems to pick the best features of both parents.  Inter-mixing seems to produce better results than closed gene pools.  Albeit in one instance I recall, this particular mom was hotter than the daughters.  LOL.

When you marry an Asian, you marry her entire clan.  Speaking from experience BTW.

Come check out Southern California, notably Los Angeles.  It's the melting pot of all racial/national groups.

Interesting enough, I picked the Japanese ones not by physical characteristics, but by mannerism.  From personal experience, I've noticed that Japanese ladies have this certain public persona.  Certain smile, stance, how they carry themselves in public.  On another observation, regarding mainland Chinese girls, no insult intended, but they walk like guys.  Likewise with most filipinas.  But in general, I've noticed Asian women don't walk as "nicely" as caucasian women.

Fine with me since I don't want to start a flame war either. If you can tell the difference, I have no problem here since you are entitled to have your own opinion. If you can't tell the difference, that's fine too. But don't call a person, who can't tell the difference, idiot because that has nothing to do with one's intelligence. I, for one, just get pissed off when people insulting my intelligence with no logical reason.

lol! Be careful of what you are saying, a little mistake in the words can confuse people or even contradict yourself. I know what you are trying to say but to make it clear, I will rephrase your words as "Asian girls are hot, no matter which Asian countries they are from. But then, what's the point of this thread again? No harsh feelings intended lol, ok?

Yes, Asian girls are hot, so does any other race. Every race has beautiful/ugly people, I see them all equally.
So the bottom line, there are hot girls in every race, no matter where they are from.

To me, the outter beauty is merely one of the aspects. Inner beauty is what I think the most important. When I was still a teenager, I used to think the look is everything. But as you grow older, you would realize that look is not everything for a person.

P.S It's DarkNova not Darknoava.
