Here's a few good links to getting help with EF and EA downloader problems. Remember when EA says gamespy nickname. They really mean your BF2 name you play BF2 as. It can be change up to 10 times a week. This only for a short period of time according to EA. If you get to the 10 time limit you'll have to wait till monday of each week for it to reset to 0
EA downloader tech support phone# 877-643-7304 This # handles all problems with the downloader. Also problems with changing your BF2 nickname to get EF to work. Also can help with problems when tring to buy EF thru EA website. They will ask questions about your EA account first. So have credit card you paid for EF handy. Cause they ask for the # to verify who you are for EF problems.

Also EA downloader doesn't work with Internet Explorer 7. Here's link to download IE 6 you can install IE 6 over IE7. Then XP will be set to IE6 settings, and it will be your default browser.

EA downloader also has problems with FireFox browser. So if FF is your default browser you need to change it to IE 6. Here's how to change it. Start up IE then click on tools at top of page. Now click on internet options next click on programs tab. At bottom of window you'll see a box with this line next to it. Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser. Put a check in the box then click on apply. Now close IE and restart it. If IE is not your defualt browser a message box will pop up. It will ask you to make IE your default browser click on yes. Now EA downloader will now IE6 is your browser. So now when you click on Edit gamespy nickname in EA downloader it will use IE to access your EA account.
