Smoke Screen is a sick map!

Just got Euro Forces, played a 64 player full on operation smokescreen map.

There's like 6 tanks per team on that map, + 2 planes and 2 attack choppers!

So, when you start, you start off with 4 tanks right next to each other and just storm, I was engineer, and in like 5 minutes of being in that group, we took out at least 15 enemy tanks, one by one, and we all had at least 12-13 repair points per player...

I'll get a screenshot next time, 5 T-90's storming ahead with choppers behind

I was doing that too, just a few hours ago. I was squadleader, and my entire squad was in this huge armored convoy, with the exception of 2 of them being in a tiger, providing air support. We had 2 engineers that would repair from their tanks, and we also had a linebacker to help shoot down enemy helos.

Any enemy vehicles that got anywhere near us were dead in at most 10 seconds... it was so freakin cool. I actually enjoy using a tank now, especially when you have a squad supporting you.

Tankwhores.... UNITE!! You have your dream map!, I've found out that if your tank is history and you decide to jump out...don't, it gets worse, it'll save your dignity to die with the armor around you burning. Yes, snipers wont last long, no where to hide...er maybe IF one of the engys gets out alive, the sniper has a shot. You guys must've been in a dork server if you were in convoys... doesn't make sense... were the pilots making hotdogs or something, because they would've took out that convoy in 2 seconds and the chopper, and I'm not a good pilot and I did that.

EXACTLY! A true armor driver goes down with his tank!

I hate those n00bs who take 2 direct hits and jump out and run away, then the enemy takes the tank and repairs it and.... tadaa, 1 less tank for your team.

and on smoke screen, forget about going solo like on karkand or oman, unless there are 3 tanks together, you're dead.

Yeah I had fun on Smoke, I just didn't get the flag that I could barely see with all the black oil smoke. I sucks to be the person without a tank though, the ones that made it didn't make it very far to the next flag. And if you are anything but SPec Ops or Engy-- consider yourself dead.

Well, I guess 64 player maps with 60 tanks and 4 air assets...

really, with armored fury coming out, the BF2 series will offer the full spectrum of modern warfare. wether you like infantry fights, tanks/air assets, or a mix of both, there will be a map for each and everyone of you.

I installed EF just last night, so I haven't had a chance to check out the new maps. Eager to do that over the weekend

No-one's mentioned AA vehicles yet, grab a Tunguska and you've got some fun times blowing enemy choppers up. Very possibly because they just seem to kamikaze straight into my missiles and bullets now. Happy days!

We had good pilots in the air, even though the Eurofighter sucks. Any choppers that weren't shot down by our fighters were either just being piloted by noobs or got shot down by our AA-vehicle.

It's much harder to do stuff against an organized team.

The new tank battles are awesome. Just like DC. But better.

I like stuff like this that enforces teamwork. If you get 2 or 3 guys on teamspeak and engie and stick together you are unstopable. Except for those fucking jets that come outta nowhere and blow my ass up.

Seriously fun in those convoys! I just love it when both sides meet for the first time head on, It's just one huge tank battle with some air support and the odd anti tank trooper. If this is anything like armoured fury then i'll love it.

I loved that map. I really did.

I got SF on DVD (cos the downloaded version is shit and don't let me play 3 maps). So hopefully SF will be reborn to me soon as well!

But yeah, EF ain't bad. Ain't got the playability that Karkand has for me yet, but every now and then I get bored and go onto other maps! (shock!)

Actually having said that. Anyone for Operation Clean Sweep. Don't recall ever playing that properly! ha ha. lol.
