Um wrong, jewish people are of a religion not a race, so it can't be racism. That would be like calling gay people their own race, which they are trying to get put into effect.

Lets not be so harsh to judge as jew democratics could mean greedy dems.

They did give people what they want, there are some great city maps in special forces. Too bad so many people dont want to buy it for some reason.
But Special Forces time doesn't add to your BF2:vanilla time does it?  I mean that's the main reason I don't play it.  It takes enough of my time going from First Sarg to Master Guns that I dont' have time to waste on special forces maps.  Or correct me if I'm wrong.
Correction commencing...

Every point, award and minute played on an SF map is added to your total. You can earn all the vanilla awards (except the jet pilot ones, of course) by playing SF. Often you will get 2 similar infantry badges within a few kills of each other, as the SF varieties require a few more kills.

The only thing that doesn't transfer is army time.
If you can't live without the Navy Cross and its MEC and PLA counterparts you have to log 250 h per army.
See you in 750...

So don't miss out, go play some SF!
There are maps there for every taste, and the grapple hook and zip line let you use *all* the buildings, not just the ones with ladders or stuff you can jump to from the hatch of a vodnik. Hell, you can even use all those balconies for your sniping pleasure! In vanilla they are just window dressing.

Enjoy Karkand? Try Warlord! Great place for awards. No helis.
Sharqi your fave? Try Ghost town!

Now that the TOW bug is fixed there is loads of unique fun to be had on the night maps.

@ the OP: I disagree.

Granted, the maps are too big for their number of players, but server admins are finding that out and putting up 32players/16map & 40-50/32 servers.

Huge armor battles on Taraba, fantastic infantry action on 32/16 Great Wall. I love that map. The 32 map lacks focus and has too many vehicles, but 16 is just what the doctor ordered. 95% of the action is where it should be: on and inside the wall.

Smoke screen is somewhat disappointing, mainly because of unbalanced and bug-ridden EU aircraft.
The Tiger AH is very hard to land without damaging it, and even taking off is buggy.
The Eurofighter is a joke. It handles like a bus with wings, not like the highly agile plane it is IRL.

If these bugs are fixed at some point i believe the map will be another winner. Good, semi-symmetrical layout with lots of terrain features to use to your advantage. Towers and burning cisterns galore to mask your heat signature, huge plumes of sooty smoke to hide in, open vistas for vehicles, clustered buildings for some CQB, nice mountain ridges, no annoying bombers...

ah... I played the great wall and love that map; even with the 32.. 8vs8 really doesn't do justice, I would like to see 32vs32 all inside the wall with no armor. But the armor is just a pest anyway, get a couple ATs and run from post to post and he can't get you anyway, I was in armor and found it difficult to raise and fire and try to find his ass. The other two are for armor whores and flyboys imo.

yes ..Great wall...is a perfect infantry action....its nice to hike down that huge wall in an organised squad...
but the new tanx are dissapointing..i am missing the front wich you can see in abrams as well as as in t 90..
in leo2 and challenger you just got cannon and and nothing else....i mean now its a bit more difficult to drive the
tank exactly around corners and turning it in small locations...ok i got the sybol in the hud to show how the turret is positioned to the tank..but this is a diffrent feeling and will take milliseconds to check ..while my attention is missing on the battlefield....so i think the Vanillatanx have an advantge to the new ones....its now exactly like sittin in the tunguska all the time..

I've unfortunately come to the same conclusion as the OP: the maps are too large, with not enough content. They bore me more than anything, and that's annoying. Now don't get me wrong - I paid, like, £5.99 for these maps/weapons, so it's not like it broke the bank or anything, but even then I'd expect some kind of worthwhile content.

This is just...boring. Taraba Quarry is the stinking ass-end of the selection, and Great Wall I concede might be good with lots of infantry, but I've yet to have a good game on any of them.

A real pity. I can only hope that AF is better, because tank + city maps = fun.

If you want Tank and City, try Great Wall then! Jeezus, they have both: infantry (mostly dorky snipers) on the wall and Tanks patrolling the ground.  I just think you guys aren't giving  it a chance because it doesn't have that 'dirt' feel to it like Karkand. A true 24/7 Great Wall that doesnt' rotate is: 38.100.195.64:16567, kinda empty right now but will fill up eventually when people find out it's 24/7.

I bought it as soon as it came out, anything for new ranked maps. And they turn out to be the biggest load of bullshit since Bill Clinton was in office.

There is absolutely no content whatsoever to any of the new maps !
Take the original six maps, and even the SF maps, they have so much minor detail, well laid out, time was actually dedicated to their creation.
With EF, two are just huge masses of land with 0 content, apart from some dodgy *smoke*, and Great Wall has the playability of a RubixCube.

I don't mind paying $10 for new maps, but when their empty, it really grinds my gears

I've noticed a lot of people complain when new maps are in place. Mainly because they don't know the terrain and where to/not to go. They have no strategy and, run around like a headless chicken.

I love all the new maps. They are very sniper friendly. I was dropping people at a 1/4 mile. I love the long draw. I think Smoke Screens my favorite so far though the least friendly for sniping. I just really dig the smokey flag. I hope they start incorperating move new enviromental effects like that. I would love to see a level with rain and lighting. Even better would be if they could just add it to all the maps and make weather a server option.

The Quarry was my fav for the sniping though. I would find myself lock in a one on one with people quite often. So many good hiding places. You can be very sneaky in their.

I get kills quick on the wall so far. I have only been China though. That place is pretty sniper friendly too. I like finding a tower and setting up camp.. You get a sniper, Med, and support on one of those towers and, they know what they are doing. They're pretty dangerous. There's only one way in....Claymored it. Support lets keep replacing the Clays. Then the Med keeps you to going. My KD ratio on there was 8/1 easy on there last night. I love new maps. Everyone is lost half the time. Hehe.

I always run through 'emalone first. I can learn a map pretty quick now.

I try to refrain from bashing other players. But when someone who only played BF2 for 5 hours in total starts flamming a game that he haves I'll say 0 experience playing. Should shut his mouth. Come back to us and say that again when we see you as First Sergeant. That way we won't brush you off as a whining noob.

For 10$ I think the booster is worth it. I never tried it yet. Some people expect they should be getting a huge run for their money for their whopping 10$ but they're just naive. You get what you pay for. It's just added contented. Less than a buck per new content added.

Why cant EA release a patch that gives us more maps? Then, they release something new for eg. Vehicles and such. When people have more maps, they have more fun. When they have more fun, they will surely buy the developer's products.

Ya see, the thing that gets me is why did we have to pay for this? Could we not have downloaded this meagre content for free? I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion that it's a bit of a farce, not least because the likes of Valve/Steam can release content on an almost monthly basis....for free. That is quality support.

Again, don't get me wrong: I've clocked up almost 450 hours on BF2. I love it: I think it's an awesome game. But being made to pay for tiny content updates such as this is stupid, and takes the piss out of the community.

Gotta say, this is the first time in the BF2 series that i have seen people using tanks and apc's simply to get to a point where they can get out and start to fight.  Maps are too spread out for me but I will admit they are pretty but not for me. I guess I'll 'dip in' from time to time but SF will remain my game of choice, just a pian that there will not be updates.

I dunno...I really like the maps...the extra vehicles and armor provide with some serious thought out team work action.  I also like the open terrain of some of the levels, it brings on some serious battles in the actual woods were your coverage is logs, bushes and trees....every other map around the cover is always buildings and structures...I would like to see a jungle warfare map with foxholes and rivers that the rafts are patrolling...that to me would be bad ass...where you could actually get cover in the brush and hide....no buildings on the map and your strategy for flags would have to been in team support and defense.

I think an unbalance game for a structure would be cool too...have a 15 on 30 match were the 15 were in a locked down structure with main guns/tows/and fire holes in the building, and the 30 had to get into the heavily armored defense structure with their c4 and other tactics.

I think its okay, it just has too many tanks!
eventually it has enough tanks and no f---g ten people taxiing for them all the time.

It is of course sad thing for armor whores because now it is not enough to be lucky to win tank at spawn point and then scare the shit off of poor infantry around the map, but they have to face number of enemy tanks and actually be skilled in tank vs tank fight.

Those plains reminds me little bit WWII tank battles on the Russian front.

Well played the 'other' maps yesterday and thought to myself, this is a tankwhores dream!!! Its funny in one map (forgot name sorry) there is so much smoke from oil rigs that you can't even see the flag. Great Wall is where it's at.

FFS, it is TEN DOLLARS.  That isn't even TWO BEERS at a bar in New York.  Assuming you can get a beer at a bar for $5, that's what, two hours of buzz for ten bucks?  Here's what I generally spend ten bucks on in NYC:

A pack of smokes (American Spirit, $7), a soda ($1.25) and a fat-ass danish ($1.75) = Lasts a day (at least the smokes do)

Less than two beers at a bar ($7 each) = Lasts about two hours at most

An appetizer at a restaraunt (Fried Calamari $9) and a tip to the coat-check girl  = Lasts until the next morning when I take a.... well, you know.

Cab fare less than 1/2 of the way from my work to my house ($21) = Lasts about 20 minutes at most.

BF2 Euro Force Booster Pack = More maps which last THE ENTIRE TIME I INTEND TO PLAY THIS GAME

So FFS.  TEN DOLLARS.  Did you expect a hooker to come with it?  It provides more options, that's it.  Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, you people are never happy.

Happy to see some other people like it. I think its AWESOME
that they made the Engineer a useful class. Whole squads of
engineers rolling around in tanks....

Coolest battle yet was on the Quarry map, where two tanks and
I were firing on anoter set of tanks on the other side! We took them
out, due to their lack of that third engineer. So sweet. That alone, IMO
was worth the 10 dollars, and that was only 1 round.

I think The Great Wall is a n1 map. But it´s too wide to get real City-Map-Feeling like Karkand or Sharqi.
And with 2 tanks and 1 APC per team it´s too heavy amored.
But I love the AWP battles, every ten meters a sniper.
The other two maps seem to be ok, but I saw them only out of my MIG29-cockpit.
