Can't start EA Downloader -Core?

Hello

I was begin to start download the Euro Forces... but I can't get EA Downloader to work.
I have installed it, and when I start the program, I get a blank pop-up box with the titel "Core". I can not click on "Log in", "Help", "About". Just getting that damn pop-up!

Please. Help me! What should I do? Anyone have the same problem as me?
I have downloaded the install-file 2-3 times, and I have restarted my PC. Nothing happens...

Re-started, used FF and IE7 Beta, installed over an installed copy, full uninstall and the install...and NOTHING!

Me too. Have also tryed some different browsers and installed it in the different ways

Haven't found any mention of this on the EA FAQ's

I'm running Win XP
P4 3.2
1 Gb RAM
X600

My PC is also strong enought to run the program. Seem that there is an error in the code for the program, maybe?

I have send this problem in an e-mail to EA.com support...

trust me
IE7 is incompatible with the downloader - even if you use firefox merely having it on your pc will cause the core error
roll back to ie6

He means Internet Explorer 7.0 BETA, uninstall it and re-install IE6. Shame on you for using a beta of IE..

But....... I don't use my browser, when I try to open the program! My problem is, that the program won't start at all.

Yes, I also have the IE7 beta, but I normaly use Firefox. Can't see, that that must be the problem, eh?

the downloader uses IE6 compatible coding
IE7 is new and different and incompatible
uninstall ie7 beta if you ever want to play euroforces

My standard browser is FF. But how do I uninstall IE7 and get IE6 back?

go to add remove programmes
select show updates
scroll down to the windows updates and find the entry for ie7
click remove
restart
ie6 will have returned

OK I have IE 6.0 and install the downloader fine. Whne I try and run i get a windows error and it wont even start to open the downloader.

I started it uup in safe mode and I could get the downloader to start. However Even in "safe mode with networking" the internet isnt working so I cant connect to the internet.

I need to figure whats pissing of fthe downloader in windows normal mode or figure out how to get my internet working in safe mode.

any help please!!!!!!!

I dont usually post in forums but I felt the need to here.

$kelet0r, Thanks for the info on IE7 mate. That core error had me fucked and if it wasnt for the (few and far between) informative and helpful posts such as yours, I'd still be scratching my head.
