As my preferred method of torture anything which doesn't involve breaking my human rights but involves your nuts, jump leads, and the mains supply. Preferably you will give me a compass, then tell me North is East, and hook your balls up to the mains in a bid to end it all. Then you won't have violated anyones human rights, and you won't ask any more stupid questions about whether little humans rights violations are worse than massive and irreversable human rights violations.
Sure, as long as you condemn beheadings and REAL torture instead of showing sympathy to those that commit it.then I won't have to make you prove you are an idiotUnOriginalNuttah wrote:

How the fuck am I saying 'so what' to other countries torturing and murdering hostages and prisoners? Explain to me HOW THE FUCK I am saying that. This is a discussion about whether it is okay for America to violate the humans rights of prisoners in Guantanamo. Read the next sentence after "so what?" and you will see that I am saying 'so what if other countries violate human rights, this is a discussion on whether it is okay for AMERICA to violate human rights'. I am disgusted by human rights violations, many of my friends (or their families) have come to the UK as asylum seekers to escape horrible brutality and I believe every person has equal human rights. I have always condemned all and every human right violation, no matter what the scale. And I doubt you could prove I was an idiot if you tried, to be honest mate.
I have no sympathy for anyone who violates human rights and never will. It was not that long ago that America allowed slavery, and hung black slaves from trees with no trial. UnOriginalNuttah, do you believe in relativism?
Apologies to the mods, this post is in defence of a personal attack and in no way related to the topic in question.
Excerpts from Wikipedia:
On Chess:
Chess is not a game of chance; it is based solely on tactics and strategy. Nevertheless, the game is so complex that not even the best players or computers can consider all contingencies: although only 64 squares and 32 pieces are on the board, the number of possible games that can be played far exceeds the number of atoms in the universe (see Shannon number).
Chess is one of the world's most popular games; it has been described not only as a game but also as an art and a science. Chess is sometimes seen as an abstract wargame; as a "mental martial art", and teaching chess has been advocated as a way of enhancing mental prowess.
On Donkey Kong:
Donkey Kong was created when Shigeru Miyamoto was assigned by Nintendo to convert Radar Scope, a poor selling arcade game in the U.S., into a game that would appeal more to Americans.
Nuff said.
Yay, wannabe saves me from a totally off topic post!

I applaude the fact that you will not condone human rights violations, sure me to, however, I will not let your condemning Americas treatment of POWs as TORTURE, without a word spoken of the REAL tortures being commited in this world, to go unchallenged.......as far as the donkey kong comment goes......if you weren't of "subnormal intelligence" you would have seen it as absurd sarcasm.UnOriginalNuttah wrote:

My knowledge of world affairs was not why chess was brought into the conversation, and so without joining the real context to your statement you have simply made a comparison between two things that have no bearing on the discourse in question.
Unless what you are trying to say is that chess ability has absolutely no correlation to intelligence, is this what you wanted to say? Would you prefer to know my IQ score? 152. I doubt you will consider this a valid measure of intelligence either. Perhaps you would like to know my final year Software Engineering degree grades for the two modules I have received results for so far this academic year. 77% (A) and 75% (A). Highest mark in both modules. So pick the thing that you think makes me an idiot the most. I suggested chess as an indicator because we can play each other over the internet and settle this once and for all. I'd suggest BF2 but that is a team game and so is useless as a measure of individual intelligence. To be honest, the only thing I can think of that makes me an idiot is bothering to try and explain myself to you.
Despite your blatent provocation I have not called you an idiot or disrepected your beliefs, so since you are throwing shit around with no wet wipes to clean your face afterwards, I'll close this my defence with one final question for you:

The fact that you are a computer geek impresses me NOT....In fact, I will bet you have the social skills of a chimp. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a computer geek in this forum, or this world for that matter. I am in aviation, I am a pilot as well as an aircraft mechanic. Personally, I think you need a degree of intelligence to pull off either as a profession but those facts have very little to do with my view of the world and my country. You are a negative person that thinks because you can play with a computer you have all the answers to the world problems and they ( because you are so fuckin smart you can play chess) are correct.
I am laughing at you because you show soooooo much disdain for America over how we treat POWs, and you say nothing as to how hostages are being beheaded and REALLY tortured.
It might be of interest to you that degrading these POWs might provide information that could prevent another terrorist attack. Kinda like the one British intelligence uncovered just days or hours before it was carried out as recently as TODAY. Seems their was a group of poor victims that had enough fertilizer to blow up a city block of London. Oh they were also seeking help from the Russian mob to acquire a "dirty bomb" for this attack.....But that is ok I guess, you just keep playing computer games and online chess to prove how smart ya are while the rest of the world you are criticizing fights to stop these attacks.
lowing is being pwned... Sorry to say it - but it is rather amusing to read...
Ohh come on now sweetie, you are just saying that cuz I stumped you when I dared you tell me how this world war that we are in now ISN"T a world war at all.......you wouldn't answer me or concede the point. As I recall we had a pretty good dialogue going. Miss ya babeFriluftshund wrote:

You want to see pwned. You ain't seen nothing yet:
Erm, the court hearing was today, the plot was years ago. And you slate my knowledge of current affairs!
And in case you didn't know, having been raised in London I have lived with the fear of terrorism my entire life. The IRA were slightly more humane about their warnings, but I cannot remember a single time I went into central without wondering if this would be the time the warning got disregarded. The number of times someone I know was unable to get home for hours because of bomb scares is more than I can remember. So don't tell me that terrorism is a new threat which requires new sacrifices of human rights.
I don't play online chess, I never said I did. I challenged you to a game because you called me an idiot, and idiots are very bad at chess because they make stupid blunders and errors. I was offering evidence you could see with your own eyes that I am not. I don't play BF2 to prove how smart I am, I'm an adrenaline junky pure and simple, and like many people I enjoy the social and team aspects of online play.
Let's stereotype you then: You're into aircraft, probably mostly military. You think that violence is the solution to every problem. You degrade and belittle people to make yourself feel better. You think patriotism is supporting your government, even if the things they do are wrong, and you like to judge people based on the stereotypes you hold.
BTW, I've had a few flying lessons, and studied mechanics and aerodynamics, but my parents could never have afforded to pay for all the hours needed to get me a licence, how did you manage to get yours? And I have no doubt that it does require intelligence to be in this field, but then again, I didn't question your intelligence by calling you an idiot did I?

GD it another "Lets get on the band wagon and trash the US" thread. Anyone know the address there so I can send them (Guantanamo Bay) $40. Whats the $40 for well..
Shipping and Handling $7

Putting a round in the head of each terrorist in GB then sending the bill for the bullet to thier families...priceless

Hey mister intelligence??..............defense is not spelled defenCe.........Well, you may be suprised to learn that I stopped using computers aged twelve and only came back to it in later life after many years spent expressing my artistic side. I have cut several records, run club nights and raves, still help run a record label with around 30 friends from around south east london (da endz), have grown copious quanititys of marijuana, got several criminal records for drugs, lived in squats for 4 years of my life (thank fuck I've got some stability now), and my parents are both in the film industry. Plus, not only do I provide face to face technical support to staff and students (a job where social skills are critical) at the computing lab of my university I have been in a stable relationship for nearly 7 years (married for 6 months).lowing wrote:
The fact that you are a computer geek impresses me NOT....In fact, I will bet you have the social skills of a chimp. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a computer geek in this forum, or this world for that matter. I am in aviation, I am a pilot as well as an aircraft mechanic. Personally, I think you need a degree of intelligence to pull off either as a profession but those facts have very little to do with my view of the world and my country. You are a negative person that thinks because you can play with a computer you have all the answers to the world problems and they ( because you are so fuckin smart you can play chess) are correct.America should know better. Nuff said.lowing wrote:
I am laughing at you because you show soooooo much disdain for America over how we treat POWs, and you say nothing as to how hostages are being beheaded and REALLY tortured.Did you know that it is against the Geneva convention to try and extract information from Prisoners of War? Ever heard the phrase "I am obliged to give you my Name, Rank, Number and nothing more."lowing wrote:
It might be of interest to you that degrading these POWs might provide information that could prevent another terrorist attack. Kinda like the one British intelligence uncovered just days or hours before it was carried out as recently as TODAY. Seems their was a group of poor victims that had enough fertilizer to blow up a city block of London. Oh they were also seeking help from the Russian mob to acquire a "dirty bomb" for this attack.....But that is ok I guess, you just keep playing computer games and online chess to prove how smart ya are while the rest of the world you are criticizing fights to stop these attacks.
(edit:spelling mistake, I can admit I make mistakes, why can't you)
second. I called you an idiot because you are screaming bloody murder about the American attrocites in Cuba. Do me a favor scream about the REAL attrocities being commited in the world.
third. yes being form GB you have lived with terrorism at your door step, so why then are you not willing to do whatever it takes to prevent it?....The cold hard reality is you might need to fight on their level to prevent more innocent people from being hurt. the CIA and British Intelligence as well as the rest of the free worlds intelligence have all uncovered and prevented terror plots...Do you really think they did this by asking them what they are up to?......If bad guys get hurt, tortured or killed to stop more attacks on you and me than so be it.
As far as the plot that I watched on our news today: I caught half of the story and from what I saw it looked like a new threat foiled. Give it time, unless you all stop belly aching about human rights for animals that don't respect anyone elses human rights I will be correct about the story time line.
Yup you are right so if you are going to have a "serious discussion" be completely factual about it and not jaded, 1 sided or bring half truths...UnOriginalNuttah wrote:

And besides that it will take more than a dope smoking, ex-convict to hurt my feelings. Sorry to hear that with your 152 IQ and all your great grades, you weren't smart enough NOT to go to jail.
I didn't go to jail. Never more than a night in the cells at most. I'm very open about this, and I've mentioned it in other threads, and unlike some people I don't ever feel the need to hide the truth or distort the facts. We don't really care if people smoke weed here in UK, since I got convicted the law has changed and I would not even have got a caution under the new law. It doesn't even affect my job prospects, as it counts as spent sentence and I don't have to declare it on forms. And it shows the fallacy of the law in the first place that I could be convicted of a crime which is then declared not to be a crime a few years later. Shame that American 'evil weed' paranoia has been left on the books to punish and alienate of significant proportion of the population for no reason. I got a fine of less that £150 for every single offence. And if you must know I don't even smoke anymore, with a kid on the way and everything.lowing wrote:

You took things to the level of name calling in x amount of posts. You repeatedly insulted me by calling me an idiot, then started whining that no-one is thanking America for all the good things they do, despite that you are in a thread labelled 'Guantanamo Bay Abuse - Revealed at Last'. So excuse me for finally sinking to your level and implying you're a crybaby, but that doesn't mean I don't listen to everyone views and read any references that they post, before supplying a counter argument backed up with references.
And of course pilots shouldn't be allowed to take drugs or fly drunk, that's common sense. But as for everyone else, the figures speak for themselves.
Prohibition doesn't work, every American should know that by now. In fact, they breed some great weed out there in your country, in case you didn't know.
