Let me guess... You saw the video where the guy knifed people from 30 ft away. That was a singleplayer game and the game physics were messed with.
Actually LOADS of things prevent cheating. The main problem is that loads of things are NOT managed by the server, but by the client (which is why you get less lag EVEN with 64 people on the map). However, PunkBuster will ONLY look for things in the client which it KNOWS about. PunkBuster is a programme, not a god. If you wanna go totally cheatfree, you need to play only games that has NO client installed locally. I can't offhand think of many, and certainly none as complex as BF2.Clockwork-Ownage wrote:

I'm a firm believer that BF2 should do what America's Army does with punkbuster - have punkbuster take screenshtos of your screen at intervals during gameplay, and then post them to the IP of the server. If you type the server IP into an IE window, itll show you the SS's of everyone in the server and you can see who's cheating or not. This way it would make it easier to wipe the stats of those people who hack/glitch etc.Twist wrote:

Well I think EA kind of turns there heads about Cheaters. Lets face it, cheaters cheat becouse they would Sux or don't want to spend the time to get good. So if they werent able to cheat...why would they buy the game? Big co. have the know how to make it cheat free. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to keep cheating down. Have closed files and if they are ever opened, kill the Key and thats the end of there disk. But I don't think they will ever stop it becouse of the all mighty buck...

i found hotel(karkand) glitch users and took screenies. i was told how they did it.
i tried it on an empty server and it worked.people joined the server and if the game actually started i wasnt going to use it. i think it it is a stupid thing to do in a game. any ways i was kicked by pb for using exploit and banned for a minute, took 20 minutes to ban me. so why didnt it ban these other fools?

Mywhole morning was dedicated to finding hacks cheat codes and forums of people dumb enough to use there signature and talk about hte hacks... FUCK OF cheaters.

for 10 months. Even after reporting and reporting and reporting with undisputable evidence
certain aimbots still exist and imo, are getting worse by the day. There are a couple clans

their forums which servers are 'easy rides'. The aimbot I reference has been downloaded
on one website alone over 2000 times.

I witnessed some thing very strange on the DHH ranked 24/7 Jalalabad server(66.225.249.227:16567).This guy on our team who's tag was(mtrks) was TKing the crap out of people at our main and getting points for it with no negative score.I thought it was the tag glitch accept he was a squad leader and kept asking for supplies to blow up our assets.

Well this is an old post, but still worth replying to.....using the TV missile as pilot is NOT a cheat, its called seat switching.....you switch to gunner and fire the TV missile then switch back to pilot....takes a little practice but can be done quite easily...Ir0n-M@n wrote:

HERE IS A HACK that my buddy cought some people useing dont know what one it is yet maybe a aimbot or something a few of them ended the round with over 2000 points IAR one guy had like 800 kills and no deaths THE SERVER WAS RUNNING PB not sure what hack it was but just image if one of them was commander double the points lol 4000 5000 points in one round

Here's what you do with hackers: BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME. Skills outweigh those who cheat for selfish purposes. Killing a hacker would prove that he couldn't beat you or anyone who has the skills to to use them. Just because they go to YouTube or buy a hack they saw on it spoils the fun for others who paid money to play fair.
Also, start a conversation with them - they tend to be mostly anti-social and focus on racking up on their stats.

i was playing kirkand and our commander was hacking, the way i know is cuz he would drop arty in one spot (straight on people getting kills) then move it to another spot killing more, he had where he can drop supply crates anytime...

Buddy of mine was playing an Internode server in Australia last week with his brother. Crewed in a US hummer on Jalalabad. Ran this guy over twice, tried gunning him from the turret, then jumped out, both emptied clips into him point blank. Guy shot shot them both. While respawning they could see on the screen a tank come down, opened up on the guy, hit him. No damage. Guy kept going.
Why bother? I'll give credit to guys who are better than me, tactically or skills wise. My stats are average. I don't have the time to become some C4 god on karkand with an SPM of 3+. But if these people get a sense of achievement out of running around cheating, they need to get a life.

I joined a karkand server today and someone was hacking/botting, everyone knew who it was... He had like 20 supply creates around him and was just "click spamming" (Don't know what else to call it) with the SVD taking everyone out and auto-aiming at the next person.
I don't see the point in hacking though, even though he was dropping people like flies any good player would have still been able to get a better K/R, but would of had more fun doing it.
People these days spend there money on such crap.
But it was funny as hell listening to this french guy over VOIP getting alittle bit angry me thinks.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and while I did a search I couldn't find anything related to what I'm going to describe. I was playing Dragon Valley on a server I like to frequent, and was down on the dock area. I see an enemy soldier, sniper actually running around near where to the helo is parked. I was in an FAV and proceeded to fire the machine gun from the FAV at this soldier. I'm not a bad shot, and I fired and kept firing at this soldier. I hit him and hit him repeatedly. Nothing killed or even slowed this person down. I then hit him at full speed three times with my FAV, and it was as if I passed right through this person.
This person was able to fire back at me even while being riddled with FAV bullets.
I did not get a scrrenshot. I've never run into this prior so if anyone knows anything about this, please inform me.

looks like a single player hack to me, i doubt anyone would ever be that fucken dumb walk around with a full auto sniper, anti tank shit in a server with normal breathing humans
i have only one thing to say about cheats: if you want to cheat, do it somewhere else. i am not a great player and yes my aim sux thanks to my second rate graphics card. i could stand to be a bit better at the keybo, too but i am not. i continue to suck until such a time as my SKILL level gets better. i get nothing out of a cheat. sure they are fun so you can vent your frustrations but useless if you play for skill. i enjoy seeing badges i EARNED and yes, pistol/knife servers are LAME.also, some hacks cause the servers to laaaaag. i saw one that dropped supplies all over the map and the server froze while this happened. that was f***ed up and who ever did it is a no good piece of not worth the adjective
