Here are my specs.

Geforce 6800GS
AMD 64 3500 + 2.6 Mhz
1Gb Corsair Ram
230Gb Harddrive

Before the patch, I could run BF2 on full settings, with no lag except for a few seconds at teh beggining of the level, now, on the bigger levels, (epecially Fushee pass and Oman) It lags like fuck.

It also gets worse during the game.

right now I was playing on Oman and Flying in a jet, I must have got 15 kills within a few minutes then it started going laggy, soon as land came into view it'd stutter, black screen, die.

Getting into APC's..screen freezes, black screen, dead or miles from where i entered.

WTF MAN.

Any Ideas? I'm pretty knowlagable about PC's. I put mine together so i know what i'm doing.

I wish I knew what the problem is... but here are some other things I'd like to know... since I got no problem running the game prior and after the 1.2 patch. Try thinking back and recalling anything you may have done shortly after the patch and prior. Recall anything related to the system as a whole, like drivers, software installs, and the like. Even the smallest innocent thing could be the cause of an annoying problem.

I defragged, uninstall loads of shit i didnt need, lowered 2 settings to medium and now it runs perefectly

I've been getting severe graphic slowdowns on max settings as well. After a while it gets to the point where I'm running at 5-10 fps, with a geforce 7800 gtx. Something the last patch did really screwed up the game engine in some way...

my 2nd comp (nVidia vanilla 6600 512mb) runs all fine 1024 x 768 with no lag at all, my gtx system has no problems, hahahaha your hundreds of dollar gfx cards dont work and mine do and my shitty one works better, ehehehehe, yeah something with this patch
