dude, i have a gig of hyperx, 3.4 P4, Asus P5AD2 Premium and a 6800 256meg pci express and i can max out everything with Antialiasing turned off at 1024x768, the only issue is quiting out of the game which mya take up to a minute to resume normal function after hitting quit, should you get another gig you will have no such issue. You turn it on low and u watch the frames go by in excess, i pull 50-60 fps in this config so you shouldn't have any trouble.
details dont really suck of gpu power, the main thing is resolution and anti aliasing which takes of lots of gpu power so dont try to push that. i recommend resolution setted to match your desktop resolution.
